As someone who nearly died from an allergic reaction to Domino’s pizza, and then was refused a list of an ingredients from our local Domino’s to see if we could identify what I was allergic to, I’m not avoiding the Noid, I’m avoiding them.

@@Lynxdoc I remember as a kid Pizza Huts as proper restaurants. They had salad bars in them even. Nowadays they don’t even compare if you even find them in restaurant form. Most of them now are just take out holes like Dominoes without the delivery service.

I'm gonna buy a plush of this guy if there is just so that I can "Release The Noid" each time I'm doing something risky or stupid.

I briefly worked at domino's in the early 90's.. One of my tasks there was dressing up in a 6 ft tall Noid costume and dance around on the side of the road. It really sucked. One interesting thing about working there was a poster in the breakroom that gave actual lore for the Noid.. It stated that gremlins have plagued mankind since the dawn of time and as time and technology progressed, various gremlins would specialize in messing with various things, like airplanes, cars, etc. Then one day, a "renegade gremlin" named the Noid, decided to take specialization a step further by causing mayhem for pizza delivery, and was highly successful at it, until he went up against his arch nemesis, Domino's. It was a professionally made poster that was provided to the store by Domino's, so I figure it's official Noid canon, but I've never seen a copy of it online, nor have I seen anything anywhere on the internet that states this lore.. It's weird.

Worst experience I ever had was they gave my mom and me (I was like 10) wings and they ran out of wing buckets. Their wing sauce was some sort of liquid. So they put it in tin foil then put it in a pizza box... well they didn't build very good foil walling so a stop on the way home later had hot hot sauce pouring down my legs. Needless to say my mom wasn't happy. No serious damage done to me thankfully but recall it being quite discomforting and wasn't a lot that could be done until we got home

You should make a food theory or mini theory about why sodas taste different across the globe, I’ve always wondered why and you would be able to make the answer entertaining for me haha

I also love how the 30 minutes or its free thing with Domino's got featured as parodies in various tv shows. Only example i can think of off the top of my head was the "Hey Pizza!" Episode from Teen Titans Go. One of the few good episodes imo. Beast Boy and Cyborg challenge themselves to stopping the pizza guy before he gets there in under 30 minutes. Only to end up destroying the restaurant and still fail.

you should make a episode about all the drama around sucralose, or in specific sucralose-6-acetate

never knew Dominos had a mascot, this was truly a interesting episode, made me actually learn some background on one of my fav pizza places

same here And Domino's became a favorite after that campaign in the past to give themselves a full makeover, even change their recipe. I did not like Domino's prior to that point in time.

I want to know how the Noid can be blamed for why my area will never have a Domino's ever again. An employee added something to a particular sauce to a customer's pizza. I don't remember if it was in retaliation or umm... appreciation?, but it was all over the local news (mid MI in the 90s). The location never recovered and eventually shuddered its doors. I think even the Noid is gonna avoid that one. 😂

it just now clicked for me (as a non pizza tower player) that the noise is the inspiration for the noise

I will say, the idea of a mascot so bad that the whole point is that they avoid dealing with that mascot is unique

I work at a domino’s in Australia. Over her we do “20 minute guarantee” which is where if the pizza isn’t at your door in 20 mins, it’s guaranteed to be free

In the states customers would turn off their outside lights and wait till the pies were late to get that $ 5 off coupon.

Feel like you'd want to start in a smaller town then slowly increase your fleet to slightly large cities as you work out the kinks in a smaller city.

Me as an employee at dominos waiting on the jet packs to fail and the mood to make a full reappearance 👀

When I was little my dad worked for domino's so sometimes my mom and I would eat dinner with him and there was a noid pinball machine in the corner of the restaurant. It was pretty fun to play but I always lost, plus he was terrifying for seven year old me

5:00 I remember this game! my aunt and I used to play it a lot when were kids

I just realised this is who The Noise from Pizza Tower is based off- and Noisettes bunny suit is also from him?!

It was the worst of times when I would walk outdoors and my neighbors broke every toe on my left foot just to grab their pizza

And after the incident with the noid he was gone… and that’s when dominos hired a guy named “Theodore Noise”

about a year ago I saw a sign in front of dominoes that said “the noid is back” and I didn’t know what it meant, thanks for clearing this up

For the Adelaide peeps here, those Noid animations at 4:01 looks like the old norwood kingpin bowling laser tag intro animations

When i was growing up (late 90’s/early 2000’s) i still remember the 30 minutes or less… so they did some back with it at some point.

As a member of the Domino's family I have to say the noid has always been my favorite I still have some of the toys they came up with from back then

As a dominos employee and a long time fan of these channels this theory caught my eye

We totally need a mascot for the Theorist channels!!!
