I lost over 50 pounds this year and I love it. What I don’t appreciate is how people I know and family saying things like, I liked you better bigger you to skinny now. And they’ll say something like are you ok, acting concerned like I’m on drugs or stressing but all I’m doing is eating healthier and exercising smh. Y’all have a great day ✌🏽

People hate change! Even when it's a positive change! They don't mean it as much as you may think! They are reacting to a serious change in your appearance that's not affecting them personally at all! They just like the consistency of sameness! Pay them no mind and continue on your healthy journey! PS: Years ago, I watched an Oprah where this young lady lost 80 pounds! She was a single mother living with her parents! She looked great, but they hated her new look and her more confident attitude! A year later, they did a follow-up show! She had gained about 35 pounds and was no longer thin but chubby! Her parents were thrilled! She said she was happy, but the sad look on her face, her frumpy outfit, and plain hair style told a different story! They said they didn't like her that thin, and this was their happy medium! I think since she was living under their roof, she felt pressured to gain some weight back! I felt so bad for her!!

Yes I can’t stand that it’s envy most of the time. I remember when I went on a weight loss journey and a particular family member kept forcing me to eat more and even making comments about how I looked better thick. I was still very curvy just tight and slimmer. A year later she was as thin as ever and confessed she was really motivated by me smh.

What did you do to loose the weight
@hoosieraussis1
4 ай бұрын
@@sarahozigi5009 First start keeping a food diary. I'm now using Loseit! after switching from MyFitnessPal. It's just too easy for me to underestimate how much I'm eating without tracking, honestly shocked. Especially since I like to snack throughout the day. This gives me a caloric budget based on my goals. Ate 5 protein-based snacks a day, one every 2-3 hours. Greek yogurt, cottage cheese, bars, shakes, chips,. Try and stick to snacks between 90-160 calories with a carb to protein ratio close to 1:1. Pure protein, Snickers protein, Quest, and One bars are all great and economical because each bar has enough protein to be split into 2 snacks. For savory snacks, Quest chips and Wilde chicken chips are delicious. I also like The Only Bean crunchy edamame. Watch the sugar on the Greek yogurts! Fage is good, and any of the light/low sugar varieties should be fine. I would hold off on the Chobani and Oikos original recipes except for the occasional treat, but honestly Fage is my favorite anyway. I ate 1 large, balanced meal a day, whichever mealtime you prefer. Lean meat/protein, plate full of non-starchy vegetables, and even some complex starches like beans a few times a week. Otherwise, I mostly avoided starches like pasta, rice, bread (look here on KZread for an easy and great tasting egg-based bread recipe). Instead of pasta, I will eat my food over a bed of non-starchy veggies. Soy sauce was a frequent low-calorie sauce to make steamed veggies taste like stir fry. Use other low-sugar/sugar free sauces like G Hughes, Walden Farms. Nothing fried. Chipotle is a great option for eating out. Avoid sugary drinks, including juice and Starbucks. Save the alcohol for special occasions. At first, the weight was falling off at about 1-3 lbs a week, eating about 1500 cals a day. As I got smaller, I would decrease my caloric budget by 100 calories whenever my weight loss plateaued for 1-2 weeks. I don't like to weigh more than once a week to avoid getting discouraged by normal weight fluctuations throughout the day/week. I find it super helpful to go ahead and log my biggest meal and a couple of snacks ahead of time (ex. breakfast protein shake, lunch Quest chips, and dinner meal), and then decide which additional protein snacks to eat based on how many calories I have left.

@@sarahozigi5009 1.Keep a food diary in Lose It! or My Fitness Pal. I was shocked at how many calories I was consuming once I started actually tracking it. The app will give you a caloric budget based on your weight, height, sex, age, and goals. 2. One generously sized meal of my choice (usually lunch or dinner) consisting of 4-7 oz of a leaner protein (chicken, fish, pork), and a plate full of non-starchy vegetables (would indulge in beans/legumes or potatoes 1-2 a week). Nothing fried, low-cal sauces with low fat and sugar like Walden Farms, G Hughes. 3. 5 times a day (every 2-3 hours) I snacked on a low sugar greek yogurt, protein shake, protein bar, protein chips, crunchy edamame snack bags, a few egg whites with some diced ham and veggies. About 90-160 calories each. Ratio of carb to protein should be close to 1:1, although a few extra grams of carbs over protein won't hurt. The high protein to carb ratio is critical for satiety and demolishing cravings caused by carb crashing. Pure protein and One bars are economical because 1 bar has enough calories and protein to be split 2 snacks. Protein powder and shaker bottle cheaper than pre-mixed protein shakes. 4. Calorie free drinks except a bit of coffee creamer, saved alcohol for rare special occasions, since I'd rather eat my calories than waste them on non-satiating drinks. 5. Whenever my weight loss (1-3 lbs a week) stalled for a couple of weeks, I would adjust my caloric budget and reduce by 100 calories to resume weight loss, never below 1500 for a man, 1200 for a woman. In the beginning, at my larger size, I could eat more calories and lost more weight each week (2-3 lbs), with weight loss slowing as I approached my goal weight (0.5-1 lb). I don't weigh more often than weekly to reduce mental stress of completely normal daily weight fluctuations. 6. After I reached your goal, I re-introduced more non-snack meals as needed, while continuing to keep a food diary with calorie budget set to maintenance and continue to monitor my weight as I introduced more food

Good luck on your journey love, you got this 🙌🏻❤️
Oh, I forgot to mention that I drink a lot of coconut water. Coconut water is so good for so many reasons. It’s very high and good for electrolytes.
I lost 75 pounds in 5 months by intermittent fasting/exercising 3-5 times a week. As i got older I naturally stopped eating breakfast. It was because I hated pooping early in the morning at work. I was fine didn't feel hungry, so i could make it to 12 for lunch. I wanted to do weight loss surgery but i had to go to a nutritionist first. They told me not matter what if you can't get your mind to do better, then even with surgery you will fail. It stuck with me so I was like i have to mentally change my habits. I didn't believe in fasting at first because i was like im not starving myself. But when you've tried pills, tea, protein shakes, salads, cutting out foods out my diets, counting calories you eventually try something new. I had to look at it as I have an addiction to food. So i use intermittent fasting as a tool not to give into the craving to eat all the time. Now like anything you try new is going to be hard at first, but if you push through you will see results. I failed many times but I got back up because I don't want to accept being big. I started cooking at home, but I still ate what i wanted just not as much. I had an addiction to nachos and chocolate mint kitkats so that's honestly what I ate on a weekly basis and still lost weight. But i eventually cut it out when I hit a plateau. I had to eat something I like otherwise I would be unhappy and likely to eat when i shouldn't. I initially started eating only at 12 for lunch, but I had to have a lot of protein. But then I bumped it up to every 48 hours, so i eat every other day. If i needed a pick me up I would do one boiled egg or a scoop of chia seeds mixed with water. I also do apple cider vinegar/cinnamon.

She’s doing a clean version the anabolic diet. I like morning oats also, though I increase the protein with protein powder and cottage cheese or yogurt. LGreat content by the way.
Thank you 😊, so grateful that I found your video.
Great suggestions! I love adding greek yogurt to my oatmeal for extra protein

I’m about to start doing that, I’m so picky 😩 if it’s nasty I’m blaming you ❤️😂
Celery juice destroyed my insides. It was awful. I had horrible stomach pain and diarrhea so badly to the point of losing too many electrolytes. My doctor made me stop immediately. I have IBS now, so some people can’t handle the celery juice. The rest sounds great. Keep bringing the great content!
I love your videos your so inspiring!

@@lottabailey9904 Yes it is!!! My doctor told me that a diet high in protein and fiber is good for me. This video was a great help breaking down foods high in protein. Especially for me because I do not eat beef/pork and have a shellfish & lamb allergy.
Lots of great tips. I've lost some body fat and weight but my stomach is just hanging on to me! Lol hopefully when I go into a maintenance it will slim down😅
