I always dress in some sort of Queen or Princess-y costume. 🥰 One time I might dress as a fairy.

Food at most festivals are expensive, as they aren’t a lot of cheeper places nearby and their small businesses trying to get enough money to pay rent and such

Come to our country quail is cheap and fuckin good
I used to work at a Renaissance faire with the animals from the stable I worked at. Used to work with the horses and set up jousting tournaments. Got to participate most of the time. Had some folks show up in Star Trek uniforms one year, probably my favorite experience was talking to them about "not compromising the mission!" And "you should dress in the appropriate attire!" Miss pre-covid days
The girl serving the Turkey Leg looked so done 💀
Live in Wales and I adore Welsh cakes!! There's a man near me who makes them fresh with different fillings, so good!
It looks delicious! Why do I always get recommended food videos when I’m hungry? 😔

Same, but also... aren't you hungry all the time?
My mom and dad took me to the renaissance fair when I was probably 5. They bought me this beautiful gypsy like gown & head piece. I have a picture of the women at a stand holding me and I remember feeling like a princess 👑 💖 it’s a really good memory & we had a lot of fun

Perhaps avoid the g word, it’s a slur against Romani people!
My grandma and her side of the family are all Welsh so I've had lots of Welsh cakes. They're delicious! Best eaten warm with butter.
I LOVE Renaissance faires, we go to the one out in New York state every year and always dress up. Last year I was a Satyr :3
Welsh cakes are my favourite! Make sure to put some sugar on them before serving and they are best with a cup of tea x
Oh my gosh. I grew up eating welsh cakes. I made them for my kids all the time. They’re best fresh off the griddle, cooked in butter. Good recipes online. They’re my favorite thing EVER.
Welsh cakes, a little warm, with some butter...😍🤤
I'm Welsh and I love Welsh cakes. The best ones by far are fresh ones you get at markets :)

I'm Welsh and Welsh cakes are amazing 😍😍
When I was little I went to something like this with my parents and my dad scored a bulls eye on an arrow shooting thing. I'm still confused to this day cuz he has never shown any kind of ability to be good at things like that. Also he's a nerd 100%. There's old pictures of him wearing the stereotypical nerd outfit complete with pocket protector.
Yes!! Welsh person here, and i just want to say welsh cakes are the best!!
“Not as flavor as the Disney one…” hard to believe
Pork chops & Turkey legs. Yes, those standard renaissance foods. Hahahahahahha
Welsh cakes!! I love them 🏴
I LOVE WELSH CAKES, as someone who is welsh and has spent a majority of their life in wales, I can vouch for welsh cakes, they are honestly one the most delicious things ever especially when fresh
The Arthas cosplayer looked great!

I love the Renaissance Fair, it’s awesome and I started going since I was really young! Been apart of my life ever since! Dressing up and watching the joust is my favorite part! Though there’s a few different things at ours from the one you went to, ours doesn’t have games (except for like the quests they have for little kids and then the treasure hunting area) but it does have lots of shows and food that’s more modern day style though there are Turkey legs (I think they’re a bit dry tbh) and there’s a bunch of shops where you can buy stuff! There’s also this shop where they sell honey! It’s the best honey I’ve ever had!!! There’s also this fairy tree house and used to be horse rides! There was also a fighting arena where you could fight again someone for a few dollars and could pick any weapon you want however you can’t aim for the face, and the weapons aren’t actual weapons they’re like toys sort of! I used to practice every day to get better at fighting but I ended up always losing in the end hahah! Amazing childhood memories and amazing future memories 10/10 would recommend going to the Ren fair!
I always compare different turkey legs to Disneyland’s turkey legs 🤣🤣 Disney ALWAYS wins lol
I have been going for years. I think my parents even vended once, and were planning on vending before the pandemic. Once, when my friend and I went with my parents, we had stopped at a restaurant. After getting back in the car (at around 7ish pm), I learned something new about my friend: Being in a car at 7pm or later when she’s been busy means that she acts kinda delirious, and even like she may be drunk. She once accidentally called my arm, parents, and car “ca” while like that lol
From a welsh person I hope you like the welsh cakes :)
Went to the same faire just a couple weeks ago! Great to see you had a fun time enjoying the yummy food.
Welsh cakes are amazing, especially still hot from the bakestone. (I'm from Cymru / Wales, so I admit I'm biased) 🏴
You should try making Welsh cakes, they are super fun and easy to make! If you need a recipe I have one!
I used to travel with the fair and I recognize a few of the people in this video! Making me miss my people 🥰
I made Welsh cakes for class when I was in elementary school, and I always craved them after that! The recipe I use calls for nutmeg, and it was delicious! Seemed like a cross between a pancake and a scone like you said.
The Faire looks so fun! And the food argh I'm hungry
I went to a Ren fair on a field trip one time, and let me tell you. It…was absolutely magical. Maybe I’ll go to a Ren fair again one day, because I had SO MUCH FUN!!!
Seems like Arthas was enjoying himself
Welsh cakes are sooo good, brilliant for your afternoon tea 😍😍
Quail is actually really filling so it might be really small but it has more nutrients and protein in it
I LOVE Welsh Eccles cakes. A family friend from Wales brings them to lunch parties every so often, and I swear I scoff at least 5 in one sitting each time.
I LOVE Welsh cakes, you should heat them up and add butter thats the best way to enjoy them in my opinion (English not Welsh but holiday there every year)
i grew up coming here! this year i’ll be finally appeasing young 6-12 year old me and dressing up as a fairy
Ngl them turkey legs be so good
I think I will make some Welsh cakes this weekend. I have a cookbook from Wales for that. Wales is amazing and my semester abroad in Cardiff was the best! Welsh people rock..
Being Welsh I can confirm we live off Welsh cakes
Oh my gosh Welsh cakes are amazing!!!!! The Welsh Bakers have a booth at my local Scottish fair. So so good especially if they warm them up for you! 😋
Jeanell, you should totally make your own Welshcakes! With your skills in making scine dough, I'm interested in seeing how yours would turn out!
i’ve made welsh cakes, i did it the somewhat traditional way frying with lard and they were pretty good, they turned pretty sweet after a few days somehow
I love the turkey legs! I went to the Renaissance festival my sophomore year, and bought one (which took me almost an hour to eat) along with a sword, and various flavored honey candy! It was so fun! And I hope to go again sometime! {I'm a Renaissance nerd so I'm all about it and I'm in my element :)}
I can't tell you how many times people have told me my bulldog's thighs remind them of those honkin Fred Flintstone Brontosaurus legs from the fair 😂
The food Looks Delicious 😋 😋
I love the Renaissance Festivals!! Where we live, there's one every year in November and then a pirate theme version in April. Our school use to do field trips to the festival. I would go with the school and then the next weekend with some friends.
Your always on point with the best food 😋😋
Jeanelle you have to come check out the Texas Renaissance Festival if you enjoyed your local one! TRF is the biggest and so much fun.
Why does this place give me midsommar vibes
Welsh cakes are awesome. One of my go to things to make when I feel like cooking/baking. Best eaten warm with some butter! (From the UK, seem to remember hearing our butter I'd different to that in the US?)
Loved the festival when I lived in Maryland. Hope you had fun 😊
This is my favorite faire ever! This is home to me. Sadly I've only been once though. Fingers crossed I can go again soon.
I live in Wales and Welsh cakes aren’t even a treat for us they are just regular Fayre! You could have come over to wales to try real Welsh cakes from Bath, it’s only two hours. It’s not traditional but I like to heat them up in the toaster and put butter on them. I’ve got a lovely recipe if anyone would like to try 🖤
I worked at a ren fair from ages 16 to 18 that turkey leg was overpriced! We sold them for $8. Now I want a turkey leg
I need to see a show where Arthas Menethil gets sent to another world to live a better life.
I was in the fair when I was 15 and got to do some of the fighting. It was pretty fun
i’ve always wanted to go to one and i can’t wait to, but i would just bring my own food lol
I also went there it was really fun
I’m so mad, I didn’t get to go this year due to my schedule. Hope you had fun out there!
Oh. My. God. I recognize that one, i work there with my grandparents!
Was just there today. Pretty fun.
Well i'm going tomorrow and i'm dressing up as a pirate
Can't wait for the texas one to start this year
welsh cakes are very easy to make!!
I miss going to the one in Georgia! ❤ try gator next time.
When I went to a Polish Renaissance Faire type event (although it was very tiny) I ate a fresh sękacz cake and it was the best one I had yet. It’s made by pouring batter on a stick that’s rotating over a fire and someone cut off a piece for me as it was still being made.
I'm a bit mad that i work on weekends and always miss out this fair and it's literally in my city
Had some real nice hagas at a Celtic festival once.
Ive been going to TRF and different renascence fairs since i was 3 my mom and her friend used to run a ride called the joust about and my stepdad helped my moms friend make journals my mom and stepdad met at a renfair actually but the turkey legs are definitely my Favorite
OMG I love the Renaissance Fair!!! Always gotta get my turkey leg every time I go! 🤤🤤
Looks Fun.
$18 turkey leg?? Y’all got riiiiiped off
i have been going to the ren fair one every year
Omg I’d love to go. I usually only carry cash so this would be perfect
You should come to the Castle of Muskogee Renaissance festival in Oklahoma.
My home town.... yay
My best friends mom make Welch cakes! So good!
LUCKY LUCKY LUCKY I GREW UP AT THE SOCAL ONE WISH I WAS THERE!
i had toe curling diarrhea after the festival
Your Ren Fest seems to have better food than my local one. I got tacos this year. Sad, dry, flavorless beef on corn tortillas with nothing but a lime for flavor. I was so disappointed
Baby , take me next time
I went to one years ago. It was all indoors and got yelled at by a guy in character. The food was okay. I will try to find one outside next time.
A turkey leg for $18? That's rad asf
WELSH CAKES!!!!! I LOOOVE WELSH CAKES IM WELSH
My parents and grandparents used to have shops and sold stuff and those fairs, and the best part for me was dressing up and pretending to be a sneaky raccoon (I got a raccoon tail at the fair) and I always got to walk around by myself and there was this woman who let us paint on her clothes while she told us stories. I've been to about 15 of them in my life, from age 4-present.
One year I went with a friend and all I ate was a pickle cause it was cheap lol, I wanna go back just to try the other foods
my constipated ass cannot be seen in that place lol
Omg I was just there a couple weeks ago!!!!
I need Riiiiiiiiccccccceeeee!!!
18$! For that leg. When I went I paid 11😳
12$ and 18$ ??? That’s expensive!!! Turkey leg was about 9$ when I last went to the faire before covid.
I want the turkey leg 🍗
I was in the vid I’m the child in blue in the back while she’s eating the turkey leg
Wait that turkey legs cost more than Disney 😂😂😂😂🤣
how do you go to a Renaissance fair and NOT get a scotch egg
