Best song on the album in my opinion, the riff, vocals, and use of sounds are just amazing. This is proof that good rock/grunge songs are still a thing.

I've been waiting since Shame Shame was released for this album and you know what? It was all worth it, it's more than I imagined

No way I thought I was the only one who thought this!

That rhythm guitar sound is probably the best there is in rock and roll and in Hard Rock and even in Metal. It is so meaty without too much distortion or overdrive. It compliments Dave's voice so well and I only need to hear a couple of seconds of a song to know it's the Foo Fighters even without any vocals. That guitar sound is one of a kind. I know his gear and Io can not reproduce that sound. I can get close but the sound is in the fingers and it is his dynamic playing style. A chord is not just a chord. It all depends on how you hit those strings and how tight you hold those frets and how you have your guitar setup to accommodate your style. If I were to ever perfect my own I only hope it could be close Dave's sound after all these years. He is getting better as a player because he sticks with it. He is not a technical player but a singer songwriter. This means it has to sound good and work together with his voice and did he ever get it down to an art. Ok I guess you can tell I am a fan of Dave's lol. I only have a few influences when it comes to my playing and they are Iommi, Blackmore, Rhodes, Devin Townsend, and Dave. Dave is in the top 3 as well. I am not with the usual Hendrix and Page. They lacked something for me even though they are up there with my favorites there playing style just didn't rub off on me. I don't connect with it the same.

I would rather see live performances of this song than Waiting on a War on every late night show possible. That’s not a bad song by any means, but it isn’t what I want to hear from the band. This song is top notch Foo Fighters though, and I want to hear them play this one!

No worries, I think, a few of the new songs will get their permanent space in their live sets, not just for the album tour. Making A Fire, Medicine, Holding Poison and Love Dies Young are some candidates. I have listened to this album more often in just one week than to Concrete & Gold since it came out, so it can't be all wrong.

@@DoNuT_1985 I agree. Like I said, Waiting on a War is not a bad song by any means, but there’s some more harder rockers here I want them to prioritize. I think the album is their best since Wasting Light, but I did like more songs on Sonic Highways than C&G though, so I still liked SH. I’ve been listening to this album all week, and it’s one that works enough for me to come back to it. I think those songs you mentioned are going to be songs that fans will want to hear more from this album than something like Shame Shame or the title track. To me, the album doesn’t quite live up to Wasting Light and Pre-Wasting Light Foo Fighters, but it’s still the best we’ve gotten from them in years besides the Saint Cecilia EP, which I wish the band would give some more love to. That was an awesome collection of songs they put together. They haven’t played anything from Saint Cecilia besides Sean like once, so I would love to hear some more of songs from that too in a live performance. Anyways, this album makes more optimistic about the Foo Fighters again.

That prechorus sounds like something off of Concrete and Gold (which personally I think deserves more respect as a release) and it's beautiful

😏💨Some of the best times I've ever had were when my blue truck would break down in the alley behind their studio in LA. I could hear them jamming and some of this sounds familiar. Plus these visuals just kickmajor ass. Love the "round n round" part. effects totally kick ass. *prophet song 👍👍
