I think I remember you from the Neolithic period.

"With a face like sin and a heart like a James Joyce novel" is poetic as hell. I know these guys got together over their shared love of poetry and I sincerely hope they don't forget their roots. As a young person, it makes me ecstatic as hell to listen to young bands who know what's up. I also love that the lead singer sings in his natural accent; if you have an accent, use it, don't obscure it.

You can practically taste the smoke, sweat and beer. So much character. And that front man, just something so charismatic about him

I'm 54 and digging this band! But then again I'm an old punker since 1981!

I'm 66 and just discovered this by way of a post on a Gang of Youths song. Talk about being transported! Makes my heart beat stronger, Gotta luv it!

At last, a young band we can believe in. Superb on every level.

They play their own instruments. They have a drum kit. They have a guitarist. The lyrics are spot on. I love their sound. Beyond cool.

Me and my better half are in our 50s and these guys were the last gig we saw right before the pandemic music is ageless ‘do not go quietly into the night’😊

I heard this for the first time on the radio yesterday, and thought that I was listening to some lost awesome 80's/90's record that only the cool DJ's knew. Turns out it's a bang up to date slice of excellence. Love it. Thought that quality guitar music was dead - WRONG!

I’m 106 and I was head banging to this when I first heard it

Absolutely mind blowing good.just heard it on the radio in shop this morning .lucky for me they said the band's name after it finished..and here I am.fucking epic

i saw them at victorious festival in portsmouth and that was the first time i heard them. i now absolutely love them and as a teenager it’s nice to see people who are a lot older than me agree

It`s a rare a beautiful thing when a band look as cool as they sound. This Dublin band have been a breath of fresh air for us older music fans because the younger ones need this as much as we do ! Godspeed Fontaines DC.

So far, the best thing I've heard all year. Needed a jolt like this.

This takes me right back to some exciting Irish bands like - Sultans of Ping - A House - The Fatima Mansions - JJ72... Fontaines DC have it going on... I love it as it feels like just right for this moment.

Saw these guys last night in Liverpool... Smashed it... Unreal..

Best sounds to come out of Dublin in a long time.

Fontaines DC sound a lot like something I heard somewhere before.. and at the same unlike anything I've ever heard before.

Every once in a long while I come accidentally come across music that immediately grabs my attention. I just heard a song this band on radio South Winds Blow which sounds great, after checking Fontaines D.C on youtube and listening to a few of their tunes my ears pick up on a great mix of MC5, Damien Dempsey, Shane MacGowan, Billy Bragg, Joy Division, a little Dylan, James Joyce, A little of A House, The Strokes, I know that with a few more listens all those others references will fade away The music is great, it, it is raw, it is real, it is fresh, those boys tell great stories, they fully believe in what they are doing, they grab your attention. What more do you need to enjoy excellent music.
