Thanks for stating the discoloration of plastic blenders
I didn't check the watt when I was buying my blender but fortunately mine has 2000watts.(commercial one). Your videos are very educative. Thanks so much dear
Very timely Flo! Please I need details of the blender (name and other information) as I am making a list of appliances for my new home in Nigeria. I would love to get that exact one. Your recent videos have been so so helpful.

All Nigerian Recipes they make good blenders but the problem is they make so many models from low end to high end. Some not as good as the rest
I always buy plastic and I never thought about the glass type. Thank you 😊😊 I know this is *off comment* but i came back to say thank you for the *Baking Soda* hack. Chineke! I've never made stew so fast and it was still fresh. My family was asking me plenty questions but I was just laughing. Heyyy thanks again 😍😍🙌💕❤

hehehe Becky! Keep laughing ooo. I'm glad it worked for you. 💃💃💃
Sometimes you have to shake the blender a bit if it struggles in the beginning. It might be that your ingredients are blocking the blades so even additional water might not help much
Love the doors in the room u were. Are they 9ija made or imported?
I'm in states. So many of my Nigerian colleagues follow your page. One of my classmates was talking about how she tried your non slimy okra soup andI told her my friend and I just made it last weekend. You are popular in Minnesota! My children like to watch your videos, too. You ever thought about creating a cooking video with your children? Like modifying the traditional recipes so children can cook with us as we make your dishes and they actually eat the food?
I got that blender a few weeks ago. Binatone had a 550W glass jug blender but for some reason it was discontinued.
Good day Aunty Flo. I want to ask for update about this blender. I'm looking at buying it.
you should try Lagos island, or Westminster in APAPA, you'll find everything you need... I bought my microwave oven from a thrift store and it came in a box with brand new fittings..

Thank you Elizabeth. Hopefully I can find a way to get there. These days when I think of Apapa all that comes to mind are those trailers making that area impassable. :(
Love that dear. How do I get that and how much is it?
check Dunlin in Iponri estate or the iponri shopping complex in surulere, they have every type of plates.
I have used plastic blenders and all you need to do is to soak it with some warm soapy water for a few minutes after use and you will never have scent transfer. This info is for all those using plastic jar blenders
Nigeria fit you so well oooooo. Biko na shine

hehehe you think my namesake? Thank you. :)
I would’ve gone with the kenwood food processor. Is Binatone Chinese? Haven’t seen it in a long time.
I understand where you're coming from regarding plastic. I have a Vitamix and I know the scent of that tomato/onion blend does transfer. But I think it's more on the lid that the plastic jar itself. Since I have 2 blender jars(my Vitamix came with a 64oz wide jar) and I wanted something smaller for smaller smoothie servings, so I purchased a 48oz narrow jar. I use the smaller for smoothies and non-smelly foods and use the larger for onions and foods guaranteed to leave a funk. Another thing to do is soak with vinegar. Maybe if Vitamix sold a glass jar for their machines, I would buy one. But glass breaks and you also need to worry about items you place in the blender potentially breaking it - Vitamix is way too high-powered to be safe with glass. Also, I can use a Waring Stainless Steel jar in my Vitamix.
@FloChinyere
6 жыл бұрын
badjujuwan o yes being breakable is a huge risk but the fear of the heavy glass jug falling and condemning my toe will not let me drop it. This is my 3rd glass jug blender and none has ever broken on me. Touch wood! You are indeed a Vitamix encyclopedia. 👍👍👍

Hi Flo. I agree with you. I love the glass Jug blender and mine was my wedding gift 13 years ago and it still works like a champ. They are more durable and the color of the foods don't get to transfer like it does on the plastic one.
Mummy Flo, Binatone should come and sponsor your next kitchen update videos oh. Oh and by the way I didn't hear any generator sound oh was it just me? Love ya

LOL!! The generator sound is always there o. I wonder when we can finally say no more generator sound track in Nigeria. :( Much love.
Which one do you recommend between the binatone and ufesa blender
Pls which of the blender will be use to grind Coco yam the dried or wet blender
Good day madam.. i don't think this blender can blend tomatoes to be very smooth. Please reply cause i want to buy it for my mum this week and she gonna be using it to blend mostly tomatoes.. thank you
Pls can you recommend a binatone blender that blend tomato and pepper seeds smoothly
Learned a lot about blender, thank you.
Sister Flo, Can it grinds dry soya beans please?
I wonder why you didn't cover the blender with the filler cup, and also why you add water while the content was blending
Can a soup maker be used to blend coconut
What's the difference between a regular blender and a soup maker?
When it comes to grinding ingredients for seasonings, moi moi etc. I find a food processor is better than a blender, Ninja & Cuisinart brands do a terrific job WITHOUT adding liquids, unless you want to or it's part of the mix you're preparing. Ninjas are extremely fast. and if not careful you may end up with a smoothie, but that's usually up to the amount of pressure applied by your hand. The plastic on the smaller models do not hold the taste of any thing processed, at least I've never tasted onions in my fruit smoothies. Try a 16oz Express Chop, chops, minces, purees in seconds, with one touch/tap (or 2-3 taps) I know you'll love it. It's under $20 US, (i DO NOT WORK FOR THE COMPANY, I JUST LOVE THEIR PRODOUCTS)
Where did u get the blender from pls
Flo so why did you settle for the 500 watts? The blender is very quite. Did you suppress the sound? If you ask me i think you got a good deal. I am a little worried that it took a while to blend the beans and you sure did put the blender to a real test. Anyways I always enjoy watching your videos. Thanks for sharing!

Chibuike Ulasi what?!?! You did not hear the sound of the gen? Including where I wrote that you guys should listen to the generator soundtrack when I was washing the blender? I think your ears are getting used to the sound after watching all the videos in this series. 😂🤣😂 There's generator sound too when I was unboxing the blender. I filtered out most of it shaa but it's still there. That sound is ever with us! 😣😣😣

Oh wow. I am serious i did not hear the generator sound.I saw in the video when you talked about the sound of the Generator. Well you did a good job to filter it out. Nice work editing.
Please Ma. How much did the blender cost?thanks I heard the price. I will get mine.
I'm sorry I missed your request for votes before you made a purchase. If you ever decide to upgrade, here's my experience - maybe it will be helpful. When shopping for mine, I learned that glass containers cannot safely handle the speed and power of the blenders above 1000 watts. That's why they've all switched over to non-BPA plastic. Considering how much your food relies on a powerful blender, I'm surprised you did go under 500. As for Kenmore - that's a store brand from Sears which is not typically known as a best quality. I saved up and bought a Vitamix and it does anything. No, I couldn't really afford it but I cook A LOT and have arthritis so needed big power and a light jar. I got it from QVC which was much cheaper than retail and had a payment plan. I looked today and found a site selling new and refurbished Vitamix (the jar is ALWAYS new) with free shipping to Lagos. I really hope this one works well for you. Now if I could find some oloyin beans in Massachusetts USA…

I have never been a fan of binatone products, i think whoever wants a heavy duty blender should go for a blender with a bigger coil, (say between 800w-1200w) as someone commented about the Ninja blender, i have seen it at work and how it crushes stuff with it Ninja like blades and heavy duty coils i need that in my kitchen can someone tell me where to get it
Maybe the beans hadn't soaked enough for the blender? Hmm please let my husband manifest oh so I will try this tigernut and date drink. Hehehehe

@FloChinyere
5 жыл бұрын
Use this grinder: amzn.to/1Nz792d You will see me use it in my videos.
Ninja blender all the way. It’s 1200w and you can’t even touch the blades to wash them. You need to use a dish brush to clean the blades. . That’s how sharp it is. Ninja will blend anything. It’ll also knead your pastry dough...just amazing 😉
Pls how much do u purchase this
How much did u purchase it
I just bought mine last 2months, I used it once and I wanted to use it today it didn't work, please what might be the problem
As usual I learnt a great deal from this video. I never knew I had to soak my beans for some hours before blending. I never did that so I always ended up going to the neighbourhood grinders. I also learnt that blenders with 600w or more are the best for stuff like coconut grinding and beans. Next time I shop for a blender I'll be better equipped. Question - I don't mind tomato seeds in my stew but you seem to not like it at all. Please is it that it's not politically/cateringnically ;) correct to serve stews with the seeds in them? Am I committing some faux pas by doing so? Thanks for shopping with us, we loved it. The only problem is that i nyeturo anyi ife afia 😋😋😋 I hope I spelt correctly.
@FloChinyere
6 жыл бұрын
hehehe Kiki cateringnically! Supu grammar! It looks like I will have to throw this your question open to the house because my reasons for not liking them may just be because of my picky self. I hate the sight of tomato or pepper seeds in stews so much I instantly lose appetite when I see tham. My Mum calls it ajo ite which means really bad cooking. :D :D Don't worry, next time there will be ife afia.

You don't need to add water too much you only need to soak the beans or put the peeled beans in freezer overnight and wash it after you bring it out to thaw so
Hello MA pls can it blend beans
I prefer my bajaj twister. It grinds like commercial blender. I don't even cut the tomatoes and I don't add water at all. It grinds the seeds perfectly. Twisters are better

Rahmat Muhammad some people recommended that blender but other people said to run away from it so I ran because if there's a doubt, there's no doubt. 😂 Moreover it looks to big from the images they posted.
I bought my Kenwood blender from the same Cash n Carry earlier this year. Discovering that it was difficult blending tomato seeds was a huge disappointment for me. As for the plastic mills, I don’t altogether mind the food transfer issue since I have dedicated jugs/mills/blenders for specific types of mixes/blends. Still in the market for a blender (sold in Nigeria) that can solve the tomato seeds issue with ease, though. By the way, I tried your oilless stew recipe yesterday and it came out great.

Hanot once the beans is well soaked and the blender has at least 500W power, it will blend it no problems. There are blenders that blend tomato seeds o. While growing up we had a National (now Panasonic) blender that had a liquiefy button which blended tomato seeds. These days the high end blenders with up to 1200W blend it but I am not ready to dole out the cash for those just for tomato seeds. My blenders blend every other thing well except the seeds so I will keep managing them. *wink!

Here is my recipe for roasted chicken: kzread.info/dash/bejne/iW2LlMSTj8K7fLw.html If I were to make summersaulting chicken that would appeal to my tastebuds I would season it exactly the way I seasoned the roasted Chicken without the rice stuffing. But I would use the seasonings in the rice stuffing to season the inside of the chicken.

I've been using my binatone blender for 10 years now, before I gained admission into the university. I used it throughout my university days and gave it to my mother after I graduated. I've been married for 2 years now and I've used about 4 different blenders. All I needed to do was to beg my mother to return my binatone since she has another one. And now, the binatone is back to work

I guess we would have to wait and see with mine. Sometimes it depends on how you use these electrical appliances. On the Facebook post a good number of people have used their for years.
I just bought my binatone blender 500w and it doesn't blend more than 90 seconds it stops and has to wait for close to an hour before I can use it again. I recently tried to blend corn for Pap, it took me the whole day to blend it because of the stoping and starting after 90seconds. Does anyone know how I can bypass the 90seconds thing? I'm desperate
