    Sometimes you have to shake the blender a bit if it struggles in the beginning. It might be that your ingredients are blocking the blades so even additional water might not help much

  • @badjujuwan
    @badjujuwan6 жыл бұрын

    I understand where you're coming from regarding plastic. I have a Vitamix and I know the scent of that tomato/onion blend does transfer. But I think it's more on the lid that the plastic jar itself. Since I have 2 blender jars(my Vitamix came with a 64oz wide jar) and I wanted something smaller for smaller smoothie servings, so I purchased a 48oz narrow jar. I use the smaller for smoothies and non-smelly foods and use the larger for onions and foods guaranteed to leave a funk. Another thing to do is soak with vinegar. Maybe if Vitamix sold a glass jar for their machines, I would buy one. But glass breaks and you also need to worry about items you place in the blender potentially breaking it - Vitamix is way too high-powered to be safe with glass. Also, I can use a Waring Stainless Steel jar in my Vitamix.

  • @FloChinyere

    @FloChinyere

    badjujuwan o yes being breakable is a huge risk but the fear of the heavy glass jug falling and condemning my toe will not let me drop it. This is my 3rd glass jug blender and none has ever broken on me. Touch wood! You are indeed a Vitamix encyclopedia. 👍👍👍

    When it comes to grinding ingredients for seasonings, moi moi etc. I find a food processor is better than a blender, Ninja & Cuisinart brands do a terrific job WITHOUT adding liquids, unless you want to or it's part of the mix you're preparing. Ninjas are extremely fast. and if not careful you may end up with a smoothie, but that's usually up to the amount of pressure applied by your hand. The plastic on the smaller models do not hold the taste of any thing processed, at least I've never tasted onions in my fruit smoothies. Try a 16oz Express Chop, chops, minces, purees in seconds, with one touch/tap (or 2-3 taps) I know you'll love it. It's under $20 US, (i DO NOT WORK FOR THE COMPANY, I JUST LOVE THEIR PRODOUCTS)

    I'm sorry I missed your request for votes before you made a purchase. If you ever decide to upgrade, here's my experience - maybe it will be helpful. When shopping for mine, I learned that glass containers cannot safely handle the speed and power of the blenders above 1000 watts. That's why they've all switched over to non-BPA plastic. Considering how much your food relies on a powerful blender, I'm surprised you did go under 500. As for Kenmore - that's a store brand from Sears which is not typically known as a best quality. I saved up and bought a Vitamix and it does anything. No, I couldn't really afford it but I cook A LOT and have arthritis so needed big power and a light jar. I got it from QVC which was much cheaper than retail and had a payment plan. I looked today and found a site selling new and refurbished Vitamix (the jar is ALWAYS new) with free shipping to Lagos. I really hope this one works well for you. Now if I could find some oloyin beans in Massachusetts USA…

    As usual I learnt a great deal from this video. I never knew I had to soak my beans for some hours before blending. I never did that so I always ended up going to the neighbourhood grinders. I also learnt that blenders with 600w or more are the best for stuff like coconut grinding and beans. Next time I shop for a blender I'll be better equipped. Question - I don't mind tomato seeds in my stew but you seem to not like it at all. Please is it that it's not politically/cateringnically ;) correct to serve stews with the seeds in them? Am I committing some faux pas by doing so? Thanks for shopping with us, we loved it. The only problem is that i nyeturo anyi ife afia 😋😋😋 I hope I spelt correctly.

    I bought my Kenwood blender from the same Cash n Carry earlier this year. Discovering that it was difficult blending tomato seeds was a huge disappointment for me. As for the plastic mills, I don’t altogether mind the food transfer issue since I have dedicated jugs/mills/blenders for specific types of mixes/blends. Still in the market for a blender (sold in Nigeria) that can solve the tomato seeds issue with ease, though. By the way, I tried your oilless stew recipe yesterday and it came out great.

    Thanks for this review. Was actually about buying it from Konga when I decided to do a KZread search for it and luckily stumbled on it. You should consider editing the title to include the full name Binatone Blender BLG-595 for easy search. Thanks once again. I'll continue searching to see if I can find something better and or if I should just settle for this one

    I don't think there is any blender that can blend tomotoe seeds ooo, am always scared to use my blender for beans😫 cos I have had bad experiences with that but the blender did a great work with the dried stuff and the coconut. Next Stop...... Microwave Oven😉😉😉😉😉

    Hanot once the beans is well soaked and the blender has at least 500W power, it will blend it no problems. There are blenders that blend tomato seeds o. While growing up we had a National (now Panasonic) blender that had a liquiefy button which blended tomato seeds. These days the high end blenders with up to 1200W blend it but I am not ready to dole out the cash for those just for tomato seeds. My blenders blend every other thing well except the seeds so I will keep managing them. *wink!

    Leo Frank oh we call it summersaulting chicken. 😂😂😂 It's really not Nigerian so we eat it however the restaurant prepares it. So here I guess you are looking for how to season it. Here is my recipe for roasted chicken: kzread.info/dash/bejne/iW2LlMSTj8K7fLw.html If I were to make summersaulting chicken that would appeal to my tastebuds I would season it exactly the way I seasoned the roasted Chicken without the rice stuffing. But I would use the seasonings in the rice stuffing to season the inside of the chicken.

    I've been using my binatone blender for 10 years now, before I gained admission into the university. I used it throughout my university days and gave it to my mother after I graduated. I've been married for 2 years now and I've used about 4 different blenders. All I needed to do was to beg my mother to return my binatone since she has another one. And now, the binatone is back to work

    I guess we would have to wait and see with mine. Sometimes it depends on how you use these electrical appliances. On the Facebook post a good number of people have used their for years.

    I just bought my binatone blender 500w and it doesn't blend more than 90 seconds it stops and has to wait for close to an hour before I can use it again. I recently tried to blend corn for Pap, it took me the whole day to blend it because of the stoping and starting after 90seconds. Does anyone know how I can bypass the 90seconds thing? I'm desperate
