Got the FoFF Ripper back out after the old Furicrap ESC fried all the electronics in the rig and killed her.
Now she's back and badder than ever, with a Mamba 5300kv 0808 and Micro 2x ESC. Way more torque and WAY bigger 7 I'll be able to hit peak rpms far easier than the old lil 7500kv Greyhound.
Violent would be the best word to describe this rig now. The initial hit is enough to spin the nylon locking wheel nuts right off, which is what happened at the end and not a snapped axle shaft as it looks.
Short hexes and locktite before next time, which will the lake. All the gear is waterproof, and the motor is sealed. We wanted to go for this outing, but the weather was nice, and 1/2 the town was gettin their summer on where I wanted to run.
Shoutout to my buddy who literally took a bunch for the team as the Ripper threw all the rocks at him... Those paddle tires I designed sure work well... 😆
