Last fall, CME bass guru Marc Najjar visited the Fodera Guitars factory in Brooklyn, New York to collaborate with our friends at Fodera on these two brand new, stunningly beautiful custom Monarch Deluxe and Imperial Elite basses. He hand selected Poplar Burl for the Monarch and the olive top and "delicious slab" of Black Limba for the Imperial Elite. The end product is something we're incredibly proud of and beyond excited to be carrying in our store. Swing by to give them a try for yourself!

I gotta imagine that quite a bit of the reason they’re so expensive is that they make them in Brooklyn. It’s mad expensive to live there.

That and the 38 years Fodera has been building instruments.

you've been working on those Wooten Chops!
nice bass. great amp. cool bass player. 'nuff said. so just watch it.
been taking scott's bass lessons!? I have! I bought a Cieloglo Blue Rick from you guys!
Will a $13K bass make me broke? No, but put it in my hands. It will def make that financial status a hell of a lot easier.
Is it just me or has he gotten a lot better at playing recently?

it was my attempt at playing Bela Fleck and The Flecktones’ ‘Vix 9’. tough lick! it was in my head all morning and i has to take a crack at it.
I didn't believe it until I owned one. A $10k bass dissappears in your hand and there's only your ears and the music. It doesn't fight with you. Don't break the bank for one, but if its on reach...
Which Flecktones track is that?

marc najjar oh yeah that’s right! I grew up listening to them and going to shows with my dad, but all the songs seem to bleed together in my memory 😂

Paul Sniffen yeah that alder is worth lot of money...
"Put it in your hands" is not an explanation of how a $13,000 bass will make you a better player.
LMFAO I've got the same skull ring, $385 on Etsy 🤣🤣🤣
I've owned one and can honestly say, it's overpriced by twelve thousand dollars.
It is unfathomable to me that Marc would wear big heavy rings like that when handling a new bass that is for sale. The person who bought this bass from CME received it with several dings in it, most likely from those very rings. (see 1:10, 1:22) By contrast, the people at Bass San Diego who unpack, handle, and pack basses are not allowed to wear rings, watches, buckles, zippers, etc. when handling instruments. Their buyers (like me) receive undamaged instruments.

I played my first Fodera the other day. Had to take my jacket and belt off. 😂. I don’t wear jewelry but I bet they’d take that too.
Single cutaway basses are just ugly to me.
i have lakland 5502 deluxe and i dont understand how u can pay 10000000000 dollars for bass. but okay.
Playing -- great! Tone -- meh.
Sounds like an ordinary bass to me. Average.
Fodera sucks, to high ugly and victor should switch brands
