I might be the only one here who is not anthropomorphizing these two eagles. Humans tend to do that with dogs, cats, even horses. Why do we ascribe to them romantic or otherwise Romeo and Juliet tendencies, when it could be just as likely that this couple are like many of their human counterpart couples? They could be swearing at each other. Jackie could be berating Shadow and calling him names. They could be arguing over what to have for dinner. He might want the fish again, but she wants squirrel or a coot for a change of pace? Jackie has surely mentioned that it is Shadow's fault for failing to fertilize the last clutch properly and that is why none of them hatched and that is why he wouldn't stop sitting on them.

@@lynnkramer1211 naaah! Surely they are like some couples....but certain types of them. 👍♥️ not always rainbows, but always sharing the whatever weather and colors out there - as one. It is perfect. Life.

I just can't seem to get enough of Jackie & Shadow. They are so majestic, elegant, beautiful, fluid when they fly & soar in the air. Also makes my heart stop watching them. Loved the video where they were sitting side by side looking out over the beautiful scenery. Looked like a married couple. Have to get my fix everyday. Thank you for the video's.

There is something deeply spiritual about following a mated pair of raptors. I've had the privilege of experiencing this activity in person. It's life changing.

It's so funny, to me, that every time J or S land in the nest they seem surprised that they've landed successfully!

I always smile when I see Jackie and Shadow. They're very majestic Eagles. Their chirping together sounds wonderful. Sending sweet togetherness forever to Jackie and Shadow.

I admire their ability to walk in that nest with all these sticks around! I’d break my legs there lol!

Truly, they live in such a beautiful place! I am a 5th generation Californian, forced to move away because we could not afford to remain. We're in New Mexico, now, and it is also a beautiful state... but California will always be my spiritual home. Long live Jackie and Shadow.

Thanks for giving us an update. I missed Jackie stopping by the nest this morning with your delivery, when I tried to rewind to see what i has missed. It was beautiful to watch them sitting together and watching the forest wake up, all the other birds flying around getting their breakfast while the King & Queen, Jackie & Shadow of Big Bear, sit and watch over the forest. I can’t seem to get enough of them either! 🥰💗XO
