Orange is the one you made. There could have been more air folded into the clay that the ones straight from the package. Pulling a vacuum would have pulled that air out and that could explain why the orange grew, it was letting out the extra air compared to the others.

I would be interested in seeing you guys build something akin to a carnival taffy puller for situations like this. This may help with mixing large amount of taffy or clay, and could make for some cool effects

Really cool. Try it in freeze dryer, deep fryer, the heavy duty burning thing I cannot think of the name of it but it uses a crucibal ... Also, when mixing, use a pasta machine. It mixes really well. Thank you for sharing your videos are definitely entertaining and thought provoking. I wasn't able to take science classes in school. So I'm having a great time. Be well 🌞🌞🌞

Could this stuff be used as a mold for low-melting point metals such as aluminium if you thoroughly toast and char the mold before pouring in the metals? Or maybe even just removing as much magic mold as possible from around the actual molding site and encasing it in sand? Might also be interesting to see if inserting metal rods around the mold help it keep its shape

What's interesting is there's probably no mixture of the small individual particles of blue and yellow or other colors so your brain sees a bunch of little particles of blue and yellow but can't process it individually so it process it as a mixture which ends up being green, purple, or orange

You might try layering, cutting, and re-layering this with some form of compression after each layering. My thought is that you could create an effect similar to modern "Damascus" steel.
