Never had a problem with the mag release.was a Glock fan for years, went FN and never looked back. Such a great pistol!

My biggest problem with the FNS several years ago was the spare mag price!!!! Best to ya',,,,!

The difficult mag release is what you pay for getting a mag release on both sides, it's a safety feature.

You know you can put the FNS9 mag release in the gun if you prefer. I did.

If you ever had a magazine come loose while shooting because the mag button was too light then you would appreciate the hard button.

I say that to myself at all the people whos videos say its a bad thing. It was absolutely intentional with a purpose! Haha

Where did you get the idea that there is a gen 1 and a gen 2? FN denies this. I cannot see it.....

Henry Schmidt well we had a couple customers that had an older style trigger on theirs. Their slides were also out of spec per the Dimensions that FN has listed on their site. Their serial numbers were much older than the ones that we have. Companies revise their products all the time. You just hope it's congruent

They also had alot of issues with the first runs of these pistols and fixed the design

I think people nitpick too much. People come up with an argument to defend their position. Which is fine, but you will always lack a small detail that in reality is insignificant. Here’s my examples. “I need to easily be able to drop a mag in a defense situation”. Citizens pretty much never do that in self defense for a couple reasons. Most don’t carry an extra mag. The ave. shots in a sd situation is 2-3. If you run out of bullets or have a malfunction. I would suggest immediately running for cover/safety. You don’t want to be standing in no mans land fiddling with your gun. Plus you should be moving at all times anyway. My other point is where else are you lacking in preparation? Specifically the gun. Most people now carry striker fired guns. Well there’s no re-strike capability with most sf guns. Some say you need that ability. Again the argument would be what are the chances of high quality ammo having a light primer strike in an sd situation? Usually the counter argument is always something like “well I want to be prepared as I can be”. Right, but every person lacks something in their everyday carry. So to me what are the most important details to cover? I base it on the probability of will I need xyz? I’m just trying to give constructive criticism. I’m sure a lot of people don’t agree. Your vids are pretty solid and I appreciate you making gun vids.
