    I guess this will work as a beginner oscilloscope for my channel for now. I also checked out the DS0138 and it seems to get a distorted signal and inaccurate Vpp at a much lower frequency than the DS0150.

    Hello! Your channel seems awesome, I will have here in a week +/- the DSO PRO also from FNIRSI to review. If you're using that in a channel and you can afford it, I'll probably recommend this one for more +/- 15€. I wouldn't recomend the DSO138... as I said in the video, the low you can go for some quality is the DSO 150 and for that price range is awesome! Thank you for watching and commenting. I don't know if you saw, but I have a giveaway right now on the channel for the KORAD KA3005D power supply, it might be of you interest, see my other videos, you have there one for the giveaway! Good luck!

    Thanks for this. Perhaps next time you can have this oscilloscope side by side with one of the professional oscilloscopes you have. That will paint a much better picture of how good or bad the oscilloscope in question is. Keep up the great work brother. Cheers!!

    Not yet but I took the time to see same reviews and understand the main diferences. The first one is the frequency, the PRO version can go up to 5Mhz, that is way better than this unit and the second major factor is that it has battery. You have nore controls/options like 1x/10x probe, menus and stuff like that, so in general is way better. The only downside I see is the missing of the knob that for oscilloscope usage, speed up a lot things. The price I saw is also double ou triple the price of this one, but that fair, it a better unit. Overall, you'll be better with the pro version and if you need the features I recomend that unit. Pleas notice that for more 20€ or ~$27 you start to have tablet oscilloscopes with more functions and bigger screens. Hope this info was usefull to you. Thank for watching and you comment.

    Hey there, it should. I«m not sure what frequency you need for that, but I think you'll be ok. If you need a bit more power for a few bucks more, see this video on the DSO PRO (kzread.info/dash/bejne/qJaKl7ynlLitYZM.html) it has some improvements and a bit more power. Thanks for watching! 👍

    I would still suggest people buy authentic Jye-tech versions. I have seen people test these with the alligator probes that are very noisy. They also don't realize not using a X10 probe setting dramatically reduces bandwidth. I still find the dso062 and dso138 still are pretty good without the stingy power requirement.

  • @TechCornerTV

    @TechCornerTV

    Hi, I understand and agree with you, I only discovered the diference between the JYE-Tech and the one I got after buying this one and on the research for the video. My goal with this video or target audience was people that are starting and for that I think the DSO138 is a option, but I personally will not go for that. DSO062 was under my radar, didn't notice it before. But again, on this one you have a color screen (also in DSO13) and proper case with a very functional knob for basically the sane price of the other two. But again, I understand what you're saying, just "justifying" my choice. Thanks for watching and your comment! 👍

    Hi, if you don't want to spend a lot of money and have something a bit decent, yes. But please remember, that 200Khz isn't much. Event Arduino uses a 16Mhz crystal oscillator. If you have and want to spend a bit more, you'll be better served with the 1C15+. It costs a bit more times more, but you're have an oscilloscope with at least 40Mhz capacity. Thanks for watching!

    This oscilloscope is only suitable for the audio frequency range. Check if your audio amplifier is distorting the signal. Or how your electric guitar pedal transforms the signal. Also, using a dividing by 10 probe, you can study how triac dimmers regulate the load current. Or how a diode bridge rectifies a sinusoid, and a capacitor smooths out ripples. Or how an inductor and a capacitor behave in AC circuits. But already a PWM signal with a frequency of only 31.25 kHz looks just awful on it.

    I don't know if I'm the only one that got a faulty device from FNIRSI. The device turns on but does not read/display any signal even from it's own square wave generator. FNIRSI sent me two replacement analogue boards but I get the same results🤦‍♂️

    Did I miss it, or was there really no (significant) mention of this scope's very low effective bandwidth? Certainly, the manufacturer's specified 200kHz ANALOG bandwidth is cited early on, but then it seemed that all tests/demos/evaluations were done at very low frequencies......In my own tests, this scope aliases badly at 200kHz, showing grossly inaccurate information on the screen above 100 kHz, and useless above that. The best performance I got was when the test signal is no higher than 50kHz. This is a very important limitation to stress with this model!

    Hi, this was one of my first reiews of oscilloscopes, today I would be a bit more demanding... or not! For 20€ oscilloscope, you can't really expect a lot. I consider this a learning toy, even so, for those small oscilloscopes, this one is one of my favorites. Sorry if I didn't push it to 200Khz, I though I did, but it's highly probable to be unable to handle a 200Khz signal. Thanks for watching 👍

    @@TechCornerTV , yes, as I indicated, I tested mine and the displayed waveform and information became progressively unreliable above 50kHz, unusable by 100kHz, distressing long before 200kHz. Some other reviews also noted the same thing. I agree this is quite a great deal at the price, but far too many newbies don't understand its limitations and will be very confused. Which is why reviews should actually address such issues.

    It's good and cheap option if you're troubleshooting low frequency signals like in R/C modeling or multirotors or whatever and need to see what's going on with the signals. As an example, I could not get an RPM signal from an ESC to work and it showed me that there was a floating ground that was distorting the square wave than the ESC uses to tell the flight controller governor what the motor RPM is. Turned out that because the ESC optically isolates the telemetry and throttle signals, and because I was not using a regulator connected to the same battery as the ESC (I was using a separate battery for the servos and electronics) I had to bridge a solder pad on the ESC that was there for this specific issue (de-isolate the telemetry pin)
