2:35 Felt really powerful to me. Pinkie singing Smile really makes it seem like she’s making an effort to get Twilight back, and the spotlight just made it even more meaningful. I’d pay money to play this to be honest. Amazing work guys!

1:40 This was the best way to go about this mod. When Twilight started trying to repeat what Pinkie was singing and Boyfriend started singing along with Pinkie, there's a new glimmer of hope that things can still be fixed even when Twilight seems gone forever, just like the other corrupted characters. A similar glimmer of hope that the show always brought in the bigger plot when things seemed beyond fixing. It warms my heart to see that feel-good adventure vibe mix with the fucked-up nature of the Learning With Pibby story.

I think the music also adds to that both fucked up but still joyful hope vibe. You can still sorta hear the theme of the shows music, however it also now mixes with that menacing guitar in the background and the ungodly choir.

The fact all of Twilights talking lines are from the episode where she basically became unhinged and insane over a friendship problem makes me further question Twilight’s sanity during that episode. Also the line “You three look like your doing great too! Looks like three good friends who don’t need the help of another good friend!” Fits so well, especially since, you know, they are three of e, not counting Twilight.

I really adore the little details in the facial expressions. BF and Pibby actually look horrified, instead of BF just smiling through it all like usual. Also, when Pinkie has the spotlight on her, Twlight starts looking concerned, as if Pinkie's getting closer to saving her friends and the Glitch is starting to lose control.

I just realized, there's some kind of "twinkling" instrument here that's pretty common in MLP FIM songs (marimba, I think?) along with electric guitar and other "harder" instruments. I like that, showing that the darkness and the light are coming together in a way that they really shouldn't.

I like that Pinkie’s still her cheerful self despite the circumstances, and it’s clear it’s not just her being ignorant considering her reactions to dodging the magic blasts. She knows that Twilight’s in trouble and that this is a dangerous situation, but if singing seems to be the solution here then dang it she’s gonna sing and have a good time doing it. It fits perfectly with her being the element of laughter, finding joy and hope in a dire situation.

​@@Mani_Exists The party cannon hasn't ever actually been that harmful in the show, mildly annoying ponies hit by it at worst. I saw it more as a final friendship attack to help Twilight break free, though the cut to black does leave it vague. I don't see Pinkie ever doing more than purposefully knocking her friend unconscious though, even if they were irreversibly corrupted.

Love the amount of custom sprites in this, from Twilight's custom animation for her quote right before she started blasting, her concerned expression during Pinkie's solo, and all the other corrupted ponies being revealed in the final section, to Boyfriend having different expressions for when he's initially shocked, for when he's dodging the blasts, and a more positive expression when Pinkie joins in. Then Pinkie herself, having a short animation for when she says "Awesome!", actually bumping Pibby onto her back, having custom animation for when she's dodging Twilight's blasts, and of course the animation for her confetti cannon at the end!

True to Pinkie's character, she made sure to carry Pibby and dodge the lazers with pinkie sense. Twilight's sense of virtue and moral justice let her resist the corruption making the scene soul piercing. The way she says " you three look great together" seals the deal that she is willing to hold herself down to let Pinkie escape with them. Selflessness and the ability to learn every element of harmony are what earned her the title Princess of Friendship. I feel like they reacted exactly how they would have in this, well done.

Small thing I'd like to point out: The corruption seems to be growing more resilient, as can be seen in each of the concept videos Steven and Spinel are chased off with no violence Spongebob takes 2 bullets to go down Oswald takes at least 20 shots and a stage light crushing him to go down Twilight takes a cannon (A cannon that has launched ponies quite far at high speeds) to go down The only exception from what I remember is Finn, who doesn't sustain any hits before backing down Though that could be because he became worn out

What I find especially fascinating about this is that Corrupt!Twilight not only has the faintest hint of pupils in her Zero stage icon, but she chooses to use her horn to try and shoot Team Pibby instead of dunking them into the pool with telekinesis. The fact that she also visibly *frowns* when she's watching Pinkie's solo is also fascinating. It actually glitches rapidly between the Zero-esque smile and frowning, before settling on the latter, and NOT changing back when the corruption brings out Applejack, Rainbow, Rarity, and Fluttershy. Curiously, Fluttershy also looks disturbed, tied to the left arrows and outright _cringing in dismay_ with furrowed brows much like Twilight. Come to think of it, BF also is missing the Uzi in this spriteset. It certainly tracks for the segment before Twilight gets got, but the fact that he refuses to pull it out when she's attacking him speaks volumes. His sprites and Pinkie's assistance make it look like he's trying a I Know You're In There fight. EDIT: The goo is also on the horn, and when Twilight charges it, you can see the corruption all over it. And when you look at the blasts themselves, those are filled with the same artifacting. So then we have the question of what those blasts would do. Are they generic concussive blasts, that could knock the target into the goo, or is it a projectile spell that corrupts on impact? If it were the latter, the implications of that are terrifying.

Yeah I just noticed that twilight sparkle is vibsoly sadden at pinkes solo to me it shows that she misses her friends and wants to be free and I have a theory as to why boyfriend doesn’t have the gun in the video but has it on the thumbnail so at the beginning we see bf talking with twilight btw I love her aploicps design Annway he’s trying to convince her to come with him and pibby but she’s reluctant to go because she doesn’t want to leave her friends even though there corruption and it’s actually kinda sad and when she finally warms up to boyfriend she gets fucking massierd by the glitch but hey that’s just a theory a pibby theory

This... this is legitimate gold right here. The animation is very fluid, stuck with each character's designated style, and overall held true to the pilot's take and the characters displayed. Having Pinkie Pie being there helping out Pibby and Boyfriend truly matches her character, especially considering her status as being My Little Pony's premiere fourth-wall breaker (Aside from Discord that is). Out of all the characters in that show, Pinkie Pie is the one character who I'd truly think could manage to escape the Glitch. And her singing that rendition of "Smile" before her glitched friend was executed incredibly well. I especially liked how the rest of the Mane Six were used in this, reflecting how Pinkie truly does seem to be the only survivor of the primary cast. Just like the rest of the characters and their shows. This managed to include both music, story, design, and animation into an incredible video. This is the stuff I wanna see if Pibby ever becomes a fully fledged show. Awesome work, straight up 20% awesome.

Love how you designed the music for this, with an overall major melody, but having some dissonance mixed in, overbearing percussion and chorus, and some glitch effects sprinkled on top, to help push the feeling of something being _very_ wrong in this kid's show. Combined with Twighlights's butchered voice lines being from her crazy episode Lesson Zero, you created the perfect song!

I like the absence of a gun in boyfriend’s hand. It’s almost like he set it down previously to try and seem less threatening to Twilight. I also like how he doesn’t pick it back up and looks almost as if he’s trying to talk Twilight back into herself again, hence why he looks so awkward.

If you think about it- Pinkie being the only one not corrupted in this world makes a lot of sense. She's overcome and fought through a lot of things in this show, making her a lot stronger than people think of her to be. Pinkie, albeit full of giggles and joy, is very smart with a small attention span- so I wouldn't be surprised if she noticed the glitch at last minute and made her great escape. She's had clones in the show, so it wouldn't be a surprise if she used them to sort of lure the glitch away if it is a "being" going after certain characters. Her becoming an ally for BF and Pibby is honestly such a great idea, remembering how Pinkie uses her talents and skills to make others happy, and to make the other person realize who they are/were in their life. She's the element of laughter, so her over-the-top happiness is just so her in every way. She's putting her skills and talents to good use. Even in desperate measures, Pinkie almost never ceases to keep a smile on her face, and does her best to make the people around her happy, too. In the show it's not often that she's seen upset (hair all flat and her colours dulled in an exaggerated manner), so I personally love how her usual, happy self is being portrayed in this concept. Wonderful work!

honestly it makes sense since she's the element of laughter that she's super happy all the time, and she can pull tons of tricks at the glitch too. she's gone through so much emotional turmoil, and (i think) she literally comes from a place where there's little to no happiness.

I went back to review this video and I got goosebumps. This song is magnificent thank you to those involved

I like how in Pinkie Pie's Animations Pibby is on Pinkie's back looking scared but in the down animation Pibby has a "This isn't that bad" sorta face

As someone who used to watch MLP as a kid, this is both nostalgic and fits the OG animation style very good. so is the song. Especially the part where Pinkie sings a part of “Smile” which takes place at the 2:35 timestamp. (a song that takes place in the MLP show itself). At 0:39 I think BF says: “Pibby!” At 0:44 I think BF says: “Hello?” At 1:07 Twilight says: “Clock is ticking twilight! Clock, is, ticking!” At 1:31 Pinkie sings a part of a song in the show (smile) “My name is Pinkie Pie, (Hello!) and I am here to say (How ya doin’) I’m gonna make you smile and I, will brighten up your day!” At 1:50 Twilight says ”Hi girls!” At 2:11 Twilight says: “if I can’t find a friendship problem, Im going to make a friendship problem!” At 2:20 Twilight giggles At 2:25 Pinkie Pie says: “Awesome!” At 2:35 Pinkie Pie sings a part of “Smile” again. (A song that takes place in the show.) “It’s true Some days are dark and lonely, and maybe you feel sad, but pinkie will be there to show you that it isn’t that bad” At 2:55 Twilight says: “You three look like you’re doing great too! Looks like 3 good friends who obviously don’t need the help of another good friend!” At 3:22 Pinkie uses a Party Cannon Most of The voice lines are from the episode “Lesson Zero” And at 3:02 I’ve come to the conclusion that every pose they have (fluttershy, rarity, rainbow dash and applejack) is the pose of how they got caught by the corruption. it’s just sad to know the OG’s (Twilight, Rainbow dash, Pinkie Pie, Ect) has ended.

It’s also shown in the last episode where they’re all shown how they’re like in the future, kinda like how they’ve grown up and to let people see its the ending of the show. the part 2:11 twlight says the lineslines: If I can't find a friendship problem, I'm going to make the friendship a problem from the episode where she goes crazy for not being on time with a letter also say that part 1:07 of "the clock is ticking" is from the same episode where she goes crazy at the part of 2:55 is from the episode where twlight wants to invite all her friends but she only has two tickets to take them so she has to decide and she eventually goes crazy

I love this, so let’s talk about it; - I love how, at the beginning of the video, you can hear trickling water before twilight gets corrupted. Truly shows corruption is everywhere in this atmosphere. - the icons changing for every chunk of the song is perfect. Nothing else, just perfect. - The way the camera looks back at 2:40 was really well done. It’s a nice showcase. I know this randomly happens per turn, this being relevant in the vanilla game too, however, it’s still cool. - bf struggling to sing, or be generally nervous, was a nice touch. It’s that disorientation of seeing characters like this in this manner (I couldn’t word that any better lol) - Pinkie doing that super-long-end note multiple times at the end of the sign is pretty in-character. Not just that, but it gives out the vibe of “I love you, I *will* save you!” Overall, this is just amazing.

I did not expect an animatic, not the glitch goo landing on Twilight in the middle of her and BF talking. It was really cool that you put Twilight in her future outfit, feels very appropriate. Honestly one of the better if not the best Pibby corruption mod Ive seen. Got a nice little cutscene in the beginning, ALOT of great animations, and certain moments in the song really changes the mood for whats going on and I like that. I cant stop rewatching it

Does anyone notice how attached and hopeful Boyfriend is towards Twilight? Let me explain: At first Twilight seemed sad and hopeless, while Boyfriend was trying to reassure her. Now, of course anyone would be sad if another survivor had gotten literally swallowed whole by the glitch but Boyfriend seemed mainly attached to her. A theory of mine is that so many other survivors and so many others have gotten infected that he seemed happy that she had survived that long. When she got infected during the first part of the song he looked like he wanted to help, but he was to nervous. Throughout the song he looked more hopeful as it continued, smiling, being friendly, and not using his gun throughout the entire song, Unlike he did with Spongebob and Oswald. He wanted to help. But most likely couldn't. That's just a random little theory I thought of- It's not the best but just something I noticed!

It's literally the second time BF and Pibby get away from the corruption by either immobilizing its host or defeating the host altogether. This is a really nice touch because, unlike other mods, it wouldnt make sense for the corruption to just leave them alone after their battle. It shows the actual danger and tension of the scenes and scenarios by showing BF and Pibby arent invincible. Very nice touch!

ohhh this was where this mod came from IT’S EPIC

I just noticed something about the instrumental of "Dusk Till Dawn". When BF and Twilight were fighting before Pinkie comes out, the instruments of the ins were dark, and like, Twilight vibe, but glitched, with sparkles and stuff. But when Pinkie comes out, the whole instrumental changes, with a more friendly melodie, a happy vibe, etcetera. Jake is putting a lot of effort of this, and we aprecciate it.

Minor detail is just that pinkie and BFs audio are actually on the right and Twilight's is on the left Only realized this because i wear my headphones backwards to keep them on better and i heard twilight on the right and BF on the left Its a good detail, forgot the actual term on how he did it but uh. Yea

Fun Fact: At the end when Pinkie shoots her confetti cannon you can hear some liquid dripping down so I presume that Twilight got injured not killed because the corruption level were rising and they didn't wanna risk saving her right now so she shot her cannon and hit Twilight in the hoof but they did escape to try save other shows. Also I think he made a reference to Smile HD the gory one because I know normal Pinkie would try kill her friends so maybe what if the corruption mixed the two AU's together making it so if Pinkie even hear or sings that song so will be controlled by the Smile HD Pinkie but that begs the question why didn't she kill BF maybe because he isn't part of her show so she can't see BF until the end of the song and this beg ANOTHER question why didn't she kill Twilight maybe because Smile HD Pinkie IS WORKING WITH THE GLITCH! I'm serious and that's why she didn't kill Twilight BECAUSE THE GLITCH TOLD HER TO! And Pibby didn't know about it that's why she's still riding her. So, this theory might make little sense because one she didn't have wide eye and big smile tell me your thoughts down in the replys

The intro twilight was from the episode when she went a little crazy because her future self came.

I like the story, and in the first part it sounds like shes talking about her friends! (FRE-E-I-O-AAAAA-)

Love how Pinkie just isn’t fazed by any of this

I think my favorite part of this is that the ponies keep their original art style from their show, while Pibby and BF keep the FNF style, accurate to source material and also emphasizes traveling to other cartoons instead of everything suddenly keeping one art style, plus the song is just a banger in general

I actually think it’s pretty accurate that Twilight and Pinkie would be the only surviving members of the Mane 6 in Pibby’s universe. Allow me to go into detail: Rainbow Dash, of course, is the fastest mare in ponyville, maybe in Equestria, but she isn’t that smart and can’t think fast under pressure, so when faced with the Glitch, it is possible she must of flown away at high speeds, but the Glitch of course caught up to her and likely cornered her. So she would try to resort to bucking it like a cloud, resulting in her capture and corruption. Applejack would probably be the third best option of a survivor, she’s strong, fast, does well under pressure, and already has some survival skills under her belt. But where she falters is her desire to protect those she cares about, even if it means putting herself in danger. She must have gone to make sure her family was safe or stayed behind to make sure every pony evacuated on time, resulting in her corruption. Rarity is a special case. While she seems dainty and not cut out for survival, we’ve seen that she has the tools to keep up with some of the most talented ponies in the group. She can keep up with Rainbow and Applejack and she sometimes is on par with Twilight in magical ability. She also works great under pressure, having to meet fashion deadlines every year. She would most likely go down fighting, probably using her magic to hold back to corruption while others got to safety. Fluttershy, dear sweet Fluttershy. I don’t think she would last long to the Glitch. She cracks under pressure easily, she flies slower than your average pegasus filly, and she’s scared of many, many things. And in this case, I believe her kindness would be her downfall, as she gets corrupted trying to get her animal friends to a safe place. Now Twilight and Pinkie, they seem to have everything a survivor needs. Twilight is fast, smart, quick-minded, and can work under pressure. She is also an alicorn with a wide array of strong magic to keep her and other survivors safe. She’s also a great moral booster and a great leader. And finally, Pinkie is Pinkie. That is reason enough.

Little note: As shown in one of his videos showing the sprites of this mod, in the part where Twilight transforms into her 4 corrupted friends, her idle animation isn't seen in this video. I love how bf looks like he's like trying to calm the glitch while trying not to freak as well

It makes it feel like she is trying to come back to her senses, when she frown it gives the fact that she is fighting against the corruption and trying to remember how to come back to her mind. The part that she turns into every pony shows that they are trying to help her be cured from corruption

Y'know despite the fact that the Pibby Glitch is probably the most game-breaking presence in FNF (in the sense that it forces BF to think beyond rapping, or doing what it did here corrupting Twilight mid-song), it's nice to know it isn't complete and total devastation. Like sure, there's no way to reverse the corruption that we've seen, which is still a massive bummer, but the fact that characters like Steven and Twilight have shown the capacity to resist the corruption in even small instances is the slightest bit hopeful, even if what we've seen is the fullest extent of possible resistance. And then there's the fact that even if the corruption can occasionally break FNF's rules, it CAN'T completely override them, at least not yet. BF and company were still able to at least stall Corrupted!Twilight through singing, and they evaded (what I assume was) her corruption blasts using dodge mechanics, long enough for Pinkie to pull out the Party Cannon and presumably escape. Even if all these little things are just there to give us a false sense of hope in this honestly horrifying scenario, it's a little nice to know that at least hope hasn't been forgotten.

I think one possible hope is a character that already has little to know control over their physical state, like ENA or someone else. Imagine what would happen to the Glitch if it suffered from ENA's near-constantly changing mental state with nothing to lock her down or something/someone to cancel the effects? It be one hell of a system failure.

So many small details to appreciate here. I think my favorite among them is that at the start of the song, Boyfriend's idle animation has him with his teeth clenched, showing how on edge he is. But shortly after Pinkie Pie shows up, his idle animation changes to have a smile. Because that's what Pinkie does, she makes people smile.

Out of all pibby songs Jake has made this one definitely hurt me the most. Seeing twilight and most of her friends corrupted was definitely sad to see. i think this actually perfectly captures the angle the official pibby cartoon looks like its gonna take. a huge homage to all the iconic characters of our childhood and even now, loaded with references and little details that are fulfilling for a longtime fan to see edit: also a little heartbreaking though, considering the circumstances also is it just me or do the other four of the mane six that show up at the end each have their own voices? i cant really tell but if so thats incredible

I'm seriously wondering how pinkie can look at her corrupted twisted horrifying friend and still be so optimistic. Even when she had to shoot Twilight with her cannon she was still looking very happy about the current situation.

BF came across a lone alicorn with a light lilac coloring inside the castle which he assumed to have been empty up until now. A supply bag not much more different than his own was slung over her shoulder. He stowed away Pico's pistol, confident that at long last, he and Pibby had found another survivor. BF stepped closer, alerting the pony to his presence. Her horn sparked briefly on impulse; she was clearly traumatized at the hands of the mindless multiversal adversary that plagued cartoons and video games alike, much like BF himself. Once she quickly recognized the blue-haired rapping shortstack as someone who was miraculously not infected, she let out a sigh and began a melodic lament, reminiscing on the losses that the glitch had forced upon her, and the faces of her friends and family that it had stolen. It seemed that breaking out into song wasn't exclusive to BF's world.. but anyway. Our boy with blue empathized with her, and assured the alicorn that he knew exactly what she was going through, but also promising that giving up is not an option. There had to be a way to stop this distorted formless beast from causing anymore damage, and if she resigned now, they would never find it out! The two broken heroes went back and forth briefly, with the pony slowly starting to come around... "Maybe... You'll really let me join you--" An ominous gurgle resounded from a balcony above. Before anyone had time to react, let alone notice, the glitch pounced on the purple pony from above, sweeping her into a murky pool of the substance with a final cry for help. BF, alarmed but worried, tried to rescue her from the glitched mass, to no avail. He shakily called out "Pibby!", and the pink haired children cartoon rushed to his aid, but was left speechless as the deep well of corrupted mass had spread to encompass the entire area. "Twilight..?" BF hopelessly called out, having learned the pony's name from their short musical exchange. This was bad. Out from the darkness, a familiar shape took form... (three, two, one, go!) What was left of Twilight began to sing with rough discordance (joke very much intended). BF, refusing to accept that this was the end of his new ally, began a wheedling tune, trying to coax Twilight away from the corruption. He knew it wouldn't be enough, but there was no harm in trying. She and her poofy pinky hair picked Pibby up with a quick lift, and she casually joined in on the duet as if the situation was nothing more than an everyday gathering. BF was honestly astonished by the optimistic energy the Earth pony exuded. Was she simply choosing to stay sanguine amidst this harrowing reality? Was she fronting for the sake of BF and Pibby? Did she know Twilight too? The melancholy twinkle in her eyes clearly meant that she was very aware of the predicament the four-- or more accurately, the three of them were now in. Even so, she sang with heart and passion. She had hope... Hope that BF, and Twilight, especially needed! After his short revelation, BF chimed in with the newcomer, and all three were singing in an odd formation that could've only been described as... Well, harmony. "H̷͈̫͒́̓E̶̼͎̺̓̋͌Y̵̤̠͕͆̓Ȳ̵̻̜̩̒͛ ̸̤̍̍̈́G̶̈́̃̏ͅĜ̶̡̤̀ ̷͕͉͘G̸̛̪̓ ̴͇́̏Ģ̸̄̈́͠I̶̥̰̋̄R̴̢̪̜̅̆̿L̴̨̖͙̑Š̷͈!̵̭͑!̷̳̓͛͘" BF now couldn't help but grin. Maybe Twilight really could be saved, with both him and Pinkie (whose name he learned through her singing) reaching out to her. He felt their bond growing, even if only through this fleeting moments of song. I love the part at 2:46 if you can't tell, twilight is singing the show's theme song, or at least a small portion from it. That could have been to show that a little of her was still there, and she wanted the others to recognize that.

This whole thing is amazingly detailed and I love the fact that Pinkie Pie just decides to stay positive throughout the whole entire song mainly because that's how she is in the actual series. And I also love the fact that you decided to use the version of Twilight from that "Bad future" episode this is epic and all i can say is great job!
