2:20 these three lines are only a few seconds long and yet they convey SO much emotion in such a short span. you can hear the cockiness in starved's voice, taunting tails and making him doubt himself. believing he is unstoppable now after killing sonic. and yet in tails' one line you can hear not just the desperation in his voice but also the anger he feels but also the sorrow as well. all three feelings combining into a single phrase of ''SHUT UP! I'LL KILL YOU!!'' clearly showing just what tails' is going through. not to mention such sense of sorrow and anger is heard through out the song as well, at times the song has a sorrow tone to it as can be heard in tails' vocals and yet it switches to a more fast paced and angered version which too can be heard in tails' vocals. this just shows how unstable his emotions are at the moment. truly a blessing to the ears if i say so myself. and certainly well done on such an amazing track. keep it up i say.

This song feels a lot more melancholic than the OG Fight Or Flight. As if, instead of conveying the dread Tails feels knowing one wrong move could get him killed, it conveys Tails' grief for his friends and the fear that more people will end up like Sonic if he fails to kill Starved. Hell, maybe the melancholy could even come from Starved too to some degree, missing those days when Sonic and him were adversaries, before his hunger consumed the both of them. Overall an amazing song, can't wait to see this in Undying Phoenix!

I found it more like Tails and Starved lamenting that this is the end of their past Like Starved actually had some fun when doing his schemes against Sonic and friends but now he is gonna kill Tails and end that part of his life while Tails knows that this will be the end for either him or Eggman but no matter who dies their lives will pretty much be ruined

Whoa...this is incredible! Tails yelling, "SHUT UP! I'LL KILL YOU!" just...hits differently. Honestly, this feels like a totally unique song...and I LOVE it!

I know this song is Supposed to Be an alternative, but oddly enough, I could also see it working as a Sequel to Fight or Flight. In Fight or Flight, Tails is facing Starved in his lair, in the room where he basically butchered and is currently devouring Sonic. And this is still the classic era. Tails is literally a child who hasn't gone through his character arc in Sonic adventure yet. He still low key relies on Sonic, but now he sees Sonic and Amy Dead in an oven/on a table, and the monster that did that too him. The smell of death in that cramped room and all the emotions would obviously be too much for Tails so he might have chosen to flee. In this song we see Tails exhausted from running along the crumbling roads of Stardust speedway. Starved has been following him and has now stepped out of his vehicle to confront the fox, obviously very amused by Tail's anguish and despair. Tails is too tired to flee and feels more cornered than ever, even with the open space. He can no longer fly and his adrenaline finally takes over, taking Starved off guard and finally ending the nightmare for the rest of Mobius. But clearly the trauma will still cling to tails for the rest of his life.

What I like about the OG Fight or Flight is it feels like you’re actively being hunted, stalked, preyed upon. A game of hide and seek. This feels more like the chaser is the chasee, the hero is backed into a corner and giving it all he’s got.

atleast to me eggman seems more wanting to reason with tails taking a significantly less aggressive posture and more of a passive posture not saying he doesnt want him dead more so that theres respect in eggman for tails due to them both being rivals and to me the line "you really think you can stop me when he couldnt" rather then just wacking tails into the atmosphere solidifies that for me

If my theory that Majin is Sonic is correct, that means that the FWF motif is Sonic's motif. And Tails is singing it. FUCK that is powerful.

No matter the genre, your music is very recognizable. That moment with Miles caught me off guard.

I like that the new feel and tone conveyed in this version of the song seems to imply (in my opinion) that this confrontation decides who gets to walk away and leave their past behind. If Starved wins, he’ll have killed his past, more precisely all those that came before him, including the (not morally) better version of himself. If Tails win, he’ll have honored HIS past and done Sonic proud by finally taking Starved down.

As much as the probability of this happening officially is practically 0, it would be cool to see an episode of Sonic Prime with the Starved Eggman universe.

The beginning of how slow it is, the suspense after it, THE FLASH BACKS AND VOICE ACTING, ITS ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! I love the little detail in the end of how (like normal FoF) it transitioned back to the beginning except TAILS sang egg man’s parts because now he has more of the upper hand in the fight rather then eggman implying how tails most likely won the fight or at the very least, had more courage! tails is gonna grow up perfectly healthy here. He might have lost his best and only real friend and had to commit murder at a single digit age, but he'll be ight.

so many leitmotifs, i even swore i heard the endless leitmotif and probably some others i recognize but cant exactly pinpoint where they came from in my head

I know that at 2:15, both silhouettes are probably supposed to be Sonic, but I like to imagine that the one on the left is Sonic whilst the one on the right is Amy (who didn't die first this time), kitted out like Tails to fight Starved Of course, she failed, which prompted Tails to try and fight Starved himself after reaching Stardust Speedway (Tails stayed behind due to not really being experienced in fighting, whilst Amy was already pretty deep into knowing how to fight with her hammer n whatnot) Starved completely focuses on toying with Tails' memories of Sonic when he speaks, but the fox is angry about the deaths of both of his closest friends at the hands of this... monster, letting out the anger in a much more vocal way with his scream of "SHUT UP- I'LL KILL YOU!"

Time to listen to this for 2 weeks in a row. EDIT: It is day 2 and i can start to memorize the song. EDIT: day 3 EDIT: day 9 and I am one with the rythm's and melodies LAST EDIT: the weeks are over but this song slaps so hard

My headcanon is that sonic was heading to tails at the end of the road. But sonic was killed as we all know. Tails seen this as he was in close proximity and rushed to the scene. He was too late. His former adversary and best friend was smashed to bits due to the robotic amalgamation. Tails furious looks up to find starved on his eggmobile. Starved chuckles and jumps off and towers over tails. "One more for old times sake?" He chuckles. Then obv he gets stabbed bc haha funnoes

I actually thought up of a Fleetway concept of Starved. Super Sonic was trying to find Ebony against Pyjamas’ wishes, only to end up in this exact scenario with Metallix (furnace) and Brutus surrounding him. Ebony dangling from a meat hook through the eye, half eaten, ready to be cooked. Since this is the good soul of Super Sonic in this scenario, his innocence and view of the world just shatters. He just lost it by the time the dialogue for this song ends. Even with the canon Tails going against Starved, I feel this song is perfect. Even better from Fight or Flight itself. Wonder what the prey version is gonna be like
