I absolutely love monster so much 😭 he has more songs than i realized (but not nearly enough) I highly recommend the song "Please" from a new fnf mod called one shot!! The vocals are gorgeous and the song is straight fire

I think one thing a lot of these mods mess up when it comes to monster is it just feels like they’re trying too hard to be edgy to the point where it’s just kinda cringe, like neo for example, the lyrics aren’t really good and they don’t really sound good either. And it doesn’t feel like they made the bg beat for monster at all, as the va sometimes emphasizes really weird parts of the lyric to make it sync with the beat and it just ends up sounding wrong lol (don’t think I hate the mod I actually really like it but those two songs just weren’t it dawg)

And then there's Boogieman, which pulls it off so effortlessly, and Not A Monster which isn't even trying to be a normal monster song. And the rest just fall somewhere in between with some getting the spirit right but trashing the character design along the way, or having a fun character design but missing the point.

Imma rank all these here we go (Excluding original Monster and Winter Horrorland) 9. Winter Horrorland [Another Friday Night]- Imma be honest I’ve never heard of this mod in my life so idek if this is a joke or not. 8. Hallucination [Neo]- I’m going to be honest, this song is great and all but I really don’t like the vibe of the song. It doesn’t really sell that creepy vibe Lemon guy is supposed to have. 7. Illusion [Neo]- This one’s a bit better, it’s kinda creepier but ehh… it’s not as good as the other ones.. 6. Not A Monster [B3 Remixed]- This song may not be creepy, but it ain’t supposed to be if you understand Peppers character. He’s just a friendly tall guy, and I vibe to the music. 5. Monster [D-Side]- A basic remix of Monster but doesn’t mean it’s bad. It’s pretty great for that guy, and actually a little more menacing than the other one. 4. Flesh [Monday Dusk Monolith]- By far one of the most unique Monster songs. Just the creepy aspect of this guy and how more Halloween-y the song is makes this an underrated pick. 3. Boogieman [Twinsomnia]- The only original song, the artwork and the intense theme of Monster is just so fucking great and creepy. Boy and Girls vocals are also pretty amazing too. 2. Shiver [B-Sides Redux]- This song starts off with Skid and Pump before turning into a chilling symphony and then the tall ass lime appears. This song is so god damn amazing and an improvement from the original, and is probably more menacing than every one of them. Just the pure ominous tone of limes voice really goes to show he ain’t fuckin around. For a song called Shiver this really did make me… well… shiver, but yet there is one song that stood out to me more than this one… 1. Feaster [D-Sides]- I love this on a personal level. Words can’t describe how this song is not only pretty eventful but a thrilling experience to go through. Sure the charting isn’t to go around but the ones who made this music ironically went so fucking hard for the music. It’s such a jolly theme yet so creepy at the same time and I love it. There’s even a fast paced part with the lemon guy on cherry’s shoulder. The part where the rest of the crowd hums to the theme with Cherry is just fucking heavenly. I’m sorry I’m swearing a lot rn but holy moly this is a symphony. Aight I’m done yappin now lmao. Also funny how this song is also a tutorial on how to cook GF.

Gonna be judging the in-game subtitles, because why not - Monday Night Monolith: Gets hard to read them at times, because stuff keeps jumping in front of them - 3X3 Remix: No notes - Neo: Tiny subtitles. Not to mention, they also shake. A lot harder to read than MNM's D Side: No subtitles, but a hard to understand Monster voice - B Sides Redux: Happy Birthday [Music] Anyways, no subtitles. But a bit easier to understand, than D Side - Another Friday Night: Another Monster with no subtitles, and a hard to hear voice - Twinsomnia: Finally, some good fucking vocals and subtitles

I think Not A Monster is a bit underappreciated. The premise isn't particularly revolutionary and the lyrics are a bit repetitive, but the instrument choice and tempo are both really fun and there's some fun rhymes going on.
