Well yeah that makes a bit of sense. After all, he’s a replacement for Bonnie, he’s not an actual mainline animatronic. There’s only one other instance of a replacement animatronic, in one of the endings Freddie escapes and is replaced by none other than Glamrock Hippo. It only makes sense that at the very least Monty’s concept came from a rework of another Mediocre Melodies member.

theory: the mediocre melodies (except maybe the frog) were one of the first tests of remnant, taking elderly people recently passing from a funeral home and sticking them in animatronics. If they knew they were gonna pass, they probably don't care too much hence the mediocre voice lines, but this being purgatory for the murderer, he would still be haunted by them

My head cannon is absolutely based on nothing but I think it be funny if Mr.Hippo was like afton's grandfather that he killed due to his rambling.

Love how Mr.Hippo gives us time to relax from the jumpscares and then rants to us about how he feels, I'd hug that animatronic honestly. He just needs a hug and his voice is so soothing.

He clearly makes it up as he goes at this point. Pretty much every game contradicts the last in some way big or small. Heck I remember on Steam back before any of the books came out when William Afton wasn’t even a thing yet someone asked him if it was possible to accurately identify the “purple guy” killer with the information we currently had and Scott said yes.

Something people always forget about Music Man is his height. Looking at him, he looks to be about the size of a child, a small little robot. However.. his actual height is easily around 8 ft tall. That thing is MASSIVE. If you look at him on stage in FNAF Pizzeria Simulator compared to other animatronics, he dwarves them. Music Man is easily one of the 3-4 animatronics that genuinely creep me out. Stuff of nightmares.

Mr. Hippo often brings a smile to face as he reminds of a music teacher I had in middle school that used to tell us stories during class. He played the piano and always gave us advice on life. Maybe after the break I’ll visit him along with other teachers.

What I love about Mr. Hippo is the images of him when he tells his story. It's ridiculous, I love it.

I love Mr. Hippo's "story" about how a story is expected to have a point or a goal. It always felt to me a bit like Scott Cawthon hinting that maybe he regrets letting the FNAF series's lore get so deep and complicated, and wouldn't have minded just making a few horror games without there being a huge backstory linking them all.

After all, if it weren’t me, it would’ve just been one of the others, I guess. I’m honestly just glad to be out of those air ducts. Y’know it’s-it’s not easy for a hippopotamus to fit up there, and not easy to get down either. I’m not as young as I used to be, as you can see. I used to be able to do all the sorts of things. Y-you’re young, you’re vibrant, you have that sort of pep in your step. Heh, reminds me of a conversation that I was havin’ with one of my good friends Orville. We were havin’ a nice picnic one day. I believe it was summer or perhaps it was…was it the fall? Yes, yes. It was the fall because the leaves had turned already. But I said to Orville I says, ‘Orville I have a story to tell you,’ and Orville looked at me-y’know, kinda odd-and, and said, ‘What’s it about?’ I said to him, ‘not every story has to be about something Orville. Sometimes a person just wants to talk. Why does everything have to be a story?’ I said to him. He just looked at me. He said, ‘Well y-you said you had a story.’ Y’know he was quite right. I did in fact. I told him I had a story. I suppose if a person just wants to talk then it’s best to not announce that you’re telling a story. Tellin’ a story does come with its own pressures and expectations I-I suppose. After all, if you’re just talking to a friend then there’s no more expectations than if you were talkin’ into the wind. Words by themselves aren’t expected to carry-uh, aren’t expected to stick, but if, y’know, if you announce that you’re tellin’ a story well then there’d better be a point to it all, y’know? No one wants to sit and listen to someone ramble on and on and on with absolutely no end in sight. So, y’know it’s-it’s good to be mindful of that when you tell someone that you’re about to tell a story, that you have something to say. Tellin’ someone that you’re gonna tell them a story is tantamount to askin’ them to stop what they’re doin’ and-and pay attention. You’re basically sayin’, ‘hey, hey buddy, stop everything, stop what you’re thinking. I have a solution to everything.’ And well I didn’t really have a story to tell. In-in hindsight I-I probably just misspoke when I said that I had a story. I think it would’ve just been better to tell Orville that I wanted to tell him something, rather than tell him that I had a story. But, y’know, even then it mighta put too much importance on the whole thing. Either way, it was quite a nice day. I remember-I remember that we were drinking tea

The mediocre melodies also appear as masks that people at the tables wear in the Fnaf 3 (I think?) happiest day mini game. Except for the oddball blue mask that is maybe supposed to represent Nedbear? But like the tapes in Fnaf 3 said, they weren’t exactly relevant characters since they were found on such short notice.

Mr. Hippo is by far the most sinister animatronic. How he goes on and on, it almost drives you insane. If you try and skip it you are forced to listen even more. Truly devilish.

Out of all of these, the fruit punch clown terrifies me. Hearing a straight up threat like that was so surprising. I know the other animatronics make threats like toy chica saying her beak is stuck in your forehead. Just spooky

Mr. Hippo reminds me of Columbo. I think that's why he is my favorite

For some reason I really enjoyed listening to hippos story lol

At first I was confused when he said Mediocre Melodies were going to be the last ones, yet the video had still a lot of time left. Then he said "Take a listen to one of these stories", and it all made sense

Mr. Hippo reminds me of my grandfather, I can’t dislike him in the least. I’d happily listen to a podcast of him rambling innocently about his daily life.

Mike, did you just fell asleep on Mr. Hippo's conversation? That was hilarious! XD

And now Music Man just got a WHOLE LOT WEIRDER.

Mr Hippo reminds me of my great granduncle and honestly I kind of miss him. Sometimes just sit back and listen while feeling nostalgic.

Mr. Hippo got me. I was impatiently waiting for him to finish so I could get back to the game, and he instantly makes me forgive him by mentioning how you shouldn’t just ramble on and on with no end in sight. XD I cracked up at that.

Imagine this: Mr Hippo kills the night guard, slowly and casualy sits beside their crushed and mutilated bleeding carcass, and beguins to tell a story..... Like those of when you just want to talk... Not really a story now that i think about it..... By the end of the shift, the next guard comes in and he is still going on with it

Music man doesn't storm in the room he's always behind you

Honestly Mr. Hippo’s monologue is kinda relaxing for me especially in a pretty high energy game

This was a fun video, you introduced me to some new robot friends! I actually love Mr. Hippo’s stories and you played my favourite one. Which reminds me, I still need to try that half iced tea half lemonade concoction...

I will be completely honest, I hate Music man's design. Simply because of his eyes, his coal-black eyes. Out of every animatronic, who has little to no visible eyes, having just pure black eyes, paired with his face structure just gets me. I don't like looking at him at all, and knowing that he's small enough to walk in the vents, I'd punt him across the room. Likely breaking my foot in the process but I'd do it.

Your thinking of music box man who is size of a baby Normal music man is 8FT tall, EIGHT FEET TALL, In pizzeria simulator, he towers over the others, Worst of all is DJ music man, Who is likely 30 feet tall standing on his hind legs

The Mediocre Melodies have got to be my favorite group of animatronics in recent years. They feel like they would come from a rival company, like Showbiz Pizza being a rival to Chuck E Cheese's until they merged together.
