This is a timely video. I have several towbars now (medium and heavy) but have not test fit any of them. Yes, they are ridiculously heavy.

It would be great to have a post on one of our FB groups to show the location of all the tow bars that could be accessible in an emergency. I'd like to have one myself, just for that reason. Maybe someday.

Hook up a tow bar, yes. But to the skids of an aircraft. The wheels were the tricky part. LOL! As far as these vehicles... I never even saw one while in, let alone drive one. I've been driven around in military vehicles a handful of times... most of the time, we flew everywhere we went. :-D

Also the tow bar can be hooked to stuck vehicle and pulled out in reverse if you dont have tow strap or winch, just dont yant on it hard or you could damage pintle assembly on stuck vehicle, just an fyi thanks dave

wooooooo nellly... watching your vid.... "how did you do that"? you must have a different bumper with a more narrowed center drop section. On my truck the attachments on the truck is closer to the section of front bumper that drops down.... due to this there is no way you can put the pin into the tow foot from the inside out.... can only go from the outside inward. Hence one side you cant have the pin's flat side head mount into the foot the right way. It ends up on the wrong side. I brought this up on SS during a break and a member said no issue with that.

hmmm.... my tow bar's bars..... have three holes maybe more holes. I chose to pin it further out into 3rd hole. (UPDATE- DONT DO THIS.. use it collapses position only) Short trailer tongues make backing up a trailer way harder with its sharp reaction to steering of drive vehicle; was my thinking;. Hence decision to make my tow bar longer cause this particular tow situation involved mostly moving the truck the bar was mounted mostly by pushing her "backward" via the driving truck pinteled too up front, being driven in reverse. (UPDATE- DONT DO THIS.. use it collapses position only)

awwwwwwwww mannnnnnn.... you didnt show how you backed a truck up to the tow bar (or drove forward to it) nor how you then hitch two together.... Now that is the fun part...... when all else fails...... read the TM (I didn't) heheh.

PS- I also used the same partner...... but did it in stages with the bar separated into its two pieces. Like you installed feet onto truck first.... then one bar... where we differed is I did not put have together at the lunnett end till after attaching both bars to the towed vehicle ...... butttt... stand by..... will make a video to show that in hooking it to the driven truck... I found it worked better to have them remain separate.

1st reply: Isn't that crazy? So cool that is what you were doing today... I have been wanting to get to that video since the Roundup in early August! LOL! 2nd reply: Also, the instructions on this set said that the hole that is all the way in would be the only one to use while towing. ??? Maybe because it gives extra strength? 3rd reply: I don't have two trucks here to show anything being hooked up to another truck, let alone to push or pull another truck. If anyone would like to donate a truck to me, I would be happy to oblige that process. :-D Your truck would do nicely!

Hey Dave i'm lookn for one of your vid's on starters that a buddy saw. he's been helping me try to figure out why my truck will not start by that i mean will not even turn over . I'v been cleaning all the batt. cable connections and i'm try'n to figure where the starter motor gets its power my large cable to the solenoid is hot but how does the starter motor itself gets its power. anyway this buddy said there was some shots of the starter on your vid and i thought maybe i could see a connection between the solenoid and the starter motor. thanks and if you have any other ideas on why i cant get it to turn over please let me know I pulled it into the shop just fine 7 months ago and have not been able to get it to crank since all new batt's

You will have to know the capability of the truck and the weight of the truck being towed. Typically, you don't want to tow with a smaller that what you are towing, truck.
