When I do this I make a yearly shortlist that regens are added to, in the shortlist I remove all players with low natural fitness (under 13), low determination (under 15) and poor personality types (you should know the bad ones). That shortens the regen list from 3,5k to like 500, from there i go position by position and save the 5-10 best in each position and whoever remains after that I keep on the shortlist and keep an eye on them with scouting and so on. If someone particularly interesting appears I also add them to another shortlist ("potential wonderkids") if they don’t want to sign, if they want to sign I sign then. Regen scouting and developing is by far the most fun part of FM for me, striking gold is amazingly satisfying!

Arsefan 2112 LewMc You can have as many shortlists as you want. When in the scouting/shortlist page just click on the top right of the filter and you can make new shortlists, delete or import from someone else.

Striking gold, developing them into a class player and watching them decimate opponents for 10 plus years, either bringing you to the top or winning all there is to win, and eventually becoming a club legend. Finally joining the non-playing staff if they want to become one. Absolutely lovely

Great video mate. I've been using shortlist since they gutted regen hunting, i thought everyone was doing it lmao. Oh, when selecting a ton of players you can always press control+A to select all. Also, you can set world->transfers toyour bookmarks and when you click on the world tap you can go directly there.

My way I found out today is going into the big clubs and looking for players on youth contracts and it will let me sign them for free.

You don't have attribute masking on making this advice pointless. Anyone can find the best regens when you can see all their attributes.

I want to add some tips. Go to high reputation players profile. Click his agent profil. You can check one by one youngster and if u lucky u will find good potential regen. another tips. make sure u check social feed routinly. theres many way to scouting from here. u can check potential regen from new contract deal from player that play on club which u follow before. Or sometimes if a club targeting a player, it will show on social feed. u can hijack the transfer. u also can check another club's transfer center so u will know whos their target. u can hijack them used this way. hunting regen is fun. i play with ajax this season (2025). this season i make 4M signing. And from transfer out i make 328M. All transfer out is regens. I through long time too collect then and sell then. what a business.

additional. if u have great scouting facilities (high scouting package and scout with high atributte), set your scout spread to many region. or if u lazy, set assignments > scouting responsibility (chief scout). and set scouting focus > age > young. So the scouting report only show u young player/wonderkid.

Most of the regens wont sign as they say they only recently signed a new contract. Is there a way to get around this?

i find this a waste of time now looking for regen dates because you cant sign them on the same day anymore since fm17 which is a real shame..i used to love poaching every countries regens then having a amazing youth team who then all progressed to the first team ....if anybody knows a way to sort of unlock it where you can feely sign regens on same day again plz let me know

@@juulthijssen5780 no problem, its okay to ask :) at the start of the game is an option to disable what i believe in english is called "fog of war", which will make you see all current stats. scouting is then used for intel on character traits and potential

Can't do this, you go to sign them and they've already signed contracts and that is on intake day. There is no way to get them if you are a lower club so the video is pointless now.

The easiest way is to use genie scout or FMRTE and search regens trough they potential ;)
