    is there any other page to buy the turnigy evo than hobbyking? They don't sell them currently...or do you think I should rather get the fs-i6x?

    Both using afhds2a i take it the binds to the turnigy evolution controller ? Also will the battery monitoring work like the, turnigy ia6c receiver that comes with the turnigy evolution ? It looks like they are both pretty similar in specs etc .

    I haven't tried the battery voltage on the Evolution (it does bind). However, I have no reason to think it wouldn't work the same way.

    Hey Albert good video, but I couldn't see what you did with the vbat sensor alarms that is what I'm looking for. Can you set the alarm for 14 volts for example? Because within the fs-i6 the highest voltage you can reach in the External sensor tab is 10 volts , which is pretty useless when running 4S quads. THanks!

    I think you might have to update your transmitters firmware. I can go above 10 volts.

    You could monitor either 1 cell or 2 cell of the battery and customize the voltage alarm based on those cell's performance. Most likely 1 cell should have the same "range" as the other cells of the main battery. (4.2 as full and 3.7 as - emtpy) (Since a 3 cell battery have 4 pins on the load charging plug)

    Hey Albert can you verify that you can actually switch into AFHDS mode? There is some confusion in the forum about this. One person says even though the option is there it doesn't actually change modes. Hopefully you can clear things up.

    On the RCGroups forum? I've definitely been able to switch to the old protocol cuz I am able to fly some of these micros with build-in receivers. Check out my QX70 videos. That has a built-in 1A receiver and I'm using the i6X radio to fly it just fine.

    I just got this receiver with my I6x and wondered how I would also use it for planes? My esc has a 5v BEC. Do I just need a 3 pin male adapter or something?

  • @AlbertKimTV

    @AlbertKimTV

    airplane setups can vary wildly so it's difficult to give an answer to this question. The X6B also has multiple input methods to further add to the permutations. It has PWM input so it would behave like any other receiver. Then there's all the radio setup that goes with the airplane as well but one could make 100 videos on that depending on what is being used. I'd suggest searching other videos on receiver setup for airplanes and maybe you'll find one that is close to your setup.

    Hi, I've just recieved the shuriken 180 pro(flysky) and turnigy evo. It came with the A8S reciever. All good but I've just changed reciever to the X6B for telemetry to the evo. Everything working except failsafe. Tried everything but can't get failsafe to cut in. Any help is appreciated guys

  • @AlbertKimTV

    @AlbertKimTV

    You have to play with your throttle channel range and make sure it goes below 980ms when you set the failsafe. Or an easier way is to set failsafe on your arming channel if you use a switch to arm which is what I do.

    Albert Kim thanks for your quick reply Albert. Failsafe was set on betaflight spot on and worked with A8S. I've checked it again. I just set failsafe on arming switch (2way on front of evo aux1) but now no arming.

    So now it won't arm? I wonder if you're doing something wrong with the setup? Any way you can upload a video and show what your are doing? I think I'll need that to assist further.

    Tony Peart Did you set failsafe in the transmitter while connected to the receiver? In failsafe set your throttle channel to -100 (or 0%)

    Last I checked the Evolution was back in stock at the Internation warehouse. The other entry level radio I can recommend is the FlySky i6 transmitter. It's about $40 to $50 and is very reliable and has good range.

    Hi kim, i got i6 with firmware mod to ibus&10ch and i got cvt01 voltage sensor and i really like it. ia6b and cvt01 weighs 14.5g+6g vs x6b 6g. The i6x seems to have sigS what the i6 dont have.I could use sigS but if there is no warning beeps its useless. The modded firmware has 2 stage beeps. My question is. Can you update the i6x firmware and get 2 stage beeps on sigS and volt. If so i will update my gear. not sure if mod firmware has sigS.. github.com/benb0jangles/FlySky-i6-Mod-

    yeah i have the 10 channel mod too courtesy of iforce2d's vids and others. i have signal % but no warning beeps (which are too quite) i'm not clear yet what the x6b or or i6x can do as far as voltage and signal warning, there is a port for battery voltage though but no clear info yet??? iforce2d also did a teardown and the new i6x is significantly redesigned inside,,, i'm really hoping the evolution gets a hack to match the 10 channel one.
