    Excellent, very helpful! The paper instruction manual tells you nothing about how to set it up!

    @@johanbergkvist8834 🤣 wasn't meant in a nasty way btw have this control for my bait boat and I'm having trouble with it as the right joystick is to go backwards forward left and right but when I push the stick up to go straight the right motor seems to be going slightly faster making the boat go to the left how do I trim the to go straight. As when you move the stick forward and to the left or right it alters the power to the motors to turn but mine when trying to go dead strait is slightly pulling to the left thank you

    Thanks for this - very helpful. Any idea how you can use the SwC three-way switch to have three rudder modes? Apparently this can be done on the FrSky Taurus?

    I never felt the need, so no I can't say I do. Are you after more or less expo in the three different modes?

    @@johanbergkvist8834 Thanks for this - and the You Tubes - you have good fun. The DF95 with the motor is good! I read that some of the 1OMs (e.g. Plan B) have three rudder expos: normal, downwind and heavier breezes downwind. Seeing the reason for this - just asking :)

    Thanks - very helpful! Can you share how you program the switches? For example, swC is set to channel 7 on my radio. I’d like to program the toggle up to let my main sheet out 10% and toggle down to pull in 10%. Toggle in the middle is off. Any help is appreciated. I would assume programming the other 2 position switches (a,b,d) would be similar?

    Navigate to “Aux. channels” using the down button, and then push “OK. Using the “UP” or “DOWN” button, change the Channel 5 so that Source has “SwB” underneath. Hold the “Cancel” button to commit the change. This creates a “Channel 5” in the controller that is assigned to “SwB”.Navigate to “Mix” using the down button, and then push “OK. Mix #1, to On, Master Ch. 5, Slave Ch. 3, Pos. Mix 10%, which will ease the sail winch 10%. Tweak this value. This will make it so when you pull SWB down, it will ease.

    Thanks for the video mate! What is the range on this setup please? Considering the receiver antenna placement at sea level, We would lose a lot of signal dissipating into the water on 2.4gHZ. With the Flysky receivers, The different models cater for different applications. Which Flysky receiver would be best for across water? I would like to have no anxiety about losing range when say heading to a mark that is 250m away etc. I'm not looking for a mile by any means, But what are they typically getting out to without stressing about signal loss? Thanks to the Uploader and anyone who can help answer this. - from Australia 🙂

    With the iA6B receiver antennas just under the deck in a boat with no carbon in the hull, I start seeing a degradation to the point where I get nervous at about 100m. I don't think a different receiver will improve matters much unless you use something like Express-LRS, TBS Crossfire or some other super long range protocol. That said, if you can get the antennas just a few inches above the deck and/or if the radio is located high (handful of meters above sealevel) things improve a lot.

    @@johanbergkvist8834 Thanks for getting back to me mate... Yes I was thinking of buying a couple of those antenna straws with caps and drilling a small hole in the deck to stand it upright externally out of the hull.. How do you reckon that would go Johan?

    Hi is it possible to use the flysky for 2 boats (not at the same time) I’m building a second one thanking you in advance Harry

  • @johanbergkvist8834

    Yes it is. You just need another receiver for the second boat. And you would probably want to set up a second Model in the radio for the second boat so that endpoints and such are set individually per boat.

    After adjusting the end points, my sheeting distance is 138mm instead of the 128mm identified in the build instructions. Is that what your sheeting distance is too? Do you see the boat performance change down wind? Is it better in light or heavy winds?

  • @johanbergkvist8834

    @johanbergkvist8834

    I don't know of the top of my head what the new distance is, but it is more than the 128mm, so so far so good. The intent is to allow the main sail in particular to go all the way out. The jib goes out further too and I find that helps a bit with keeping the sails crossed. It catches more wind in a dead run, especially in light wind. Can I actually see a difference compared to other boats in a race? No, not really.
