Flyover all the Hotels on Kaanapali Beach and Whalers Village on Tourism Re-Opening Day - 10/15/2020
4K Drone Video of all the Hotels along Kaanapali Beach from the Hyatt Regency to the Sheraton at Black Rock and also a flyover Whalers Village Shopping Mall.
The video was shot on October 15, 2020 at approximately 10am.
October 15, 2020 is the day that transpacific flights are allowed to arrive Hawaii and passengers have an option to bypass the mandatory 14-day quarantine by presenting a negative Covid test taken no more than 72-hours prior to arrival from a trusted testing agency.

Currently, Hawaiian Airlines, United Airlines, and Alaska Airlines are going to be offering rapid tests in certain airports before you get on the plane to come to Hawaii. The tests run about $250 and can be taken while you're at the airport checking in for your flight.

Video was shot with my new DJI Mavic Air 2 using a low ND16 filter to cut back on some glare from the sun during an early flight.
The DJI Mavic Air 2 was just introduced by DJI on April 27th and it seems that the demand for it has been very strong. The new DJI Mavic Air 2 is slightly smaller and lighter than my previous Mavic Pro Platinum but has the capability of taking 48MP pictures and 4K video.
So far, even though I've only flown it a few times now, the Mavic Air 2 has been a great addition to my personal drone collection and I highly recommend any drone enthusiast purchase the Mavic Air 2.

I definitely plan on making one again once tourism picks up and we have more people on the beaches. I doubt it’ll be a super fast recovery but it’ll be cool to see the contrast in how full the beach gets

Beautifully done! I was especially eager to get a glimpse of the construction at the beloved KBH. As much as I love that place, it did need some refreshing, so this is good. Question: what is the music you used in this video?

I’m glad you enjoyed it! Yes, KBH definitely needed a little extra sprucing. The song is called “Hula Lemon” by ZitronSound. If you do a KZread search you can find it right away. It’s copyright free music for videos. Unfortunately there aren’t too many copyright free hawaiian songs out there so I can’t always do hawaiian music on my videos 😞

It definitely is. It’s one of the best beaches in Maui. And if you walk down towards Black Rock (a little walk down the beach) there’s usually turtles you can snorkel with (just don’t touch them though)

@@tennischrissss Can't fly at Kaanapali Beach because of the Kapalua airport, but there are plenty of other areas to fly.
