Love this song! It always helps me refocus my gaze to Christ when it gets closer to Christmas time because it’s so easy for us to get caught up in material things and things that are nothing more but distractions in this life.

December 2020, I still listen to this song every winter since I first discovered it in Christmas 2009. Thank you Flyleaf for this wonderful piece.

This is a tradition for me to listen to this every year around Christmas, it always make me cry, in a good way. I feel that today Christmas is no longer about Jesus, and it makes me sad, but atleast I can celebrat it for what it is.

​​@@My_Lacrimosabut we all celebrate it on our different terms the for Jesus isn't pagan but Santa Claus and other things are so it can be about Jesus .Christians celebrate it in honor just like Easter . So it doesn't make it pagan for us

So many bands make covers of Christmas songs. It really is refreshing to see an original one by such a modern band, and even though I am not religious, this is a beautiful song. As a matter of fact, I find that the religious Christmas songs are the loveliest.

this song is great for CHRISTIANS because it tells about how awesome our LORD GOD is. it is verry appealing to those who aren't saved or religous, because with this song they have the chance to change their lives and llive for GOD......WHO IS THE AUTHOR AND THE FINISHER OF OUR FATE, AND ONLY HE CAN JUDGE US. i love flyleaf and i love the mesages they have in every song, i dont have any religeon but i can still relate to their songs. But I realy love this song, christmas is too comercialised now, no one realy remembers what its actualy about, but this song is exactly what we should remember.

@@seaghost1339 I don't normally go out of my way to reply to comments in the comment sections of videos, but throwing words like that around is exactly why people dislike talking about beliefs. It is beyond just possible to be a believer of god one day, then after events unfold, to no longer believe the next day. I know personally, I've been there, to a point where I honestly couldn't believe God existed, and if god did exist, they were beyond cruel. To say someone never believed in god simply because someone loses faith in what people are told is a loving and caring being who watches over us, is simply unreasonable. The issue I see constantly happening is Christians act all holy and are above people who don't believe. Rather than helping, they hold their beliefs over their heads. I know I'm not the only person who sees this either, I hate to be someone who quotes things, but in one of my favorite DC talk songs (Which came out in 1995 24 years ago.) they speak of the same issue "The greatest single cause of atheism in the world today Is Christians who acknowledge Jesus with their lips Then walk out the door and deny him by their lifestyle. That is what an unbelieving world simply finds unbelievable". It's the very reason non-Christians often think Christians are giant walking hypocrites, saying to live one way while acting the exact opposite way.

This song always seems to put a lump in my throat, which isn't something a lot of songs can do. There's just so much meaning to it, I love it

I think this is one of the most amazing songs of flyleaf..

This song saved my life once, when I felt there was nothing to live for. When I thought that God hated me, and I in return hated him. Until I heard this song. I broke down and cried. I gained a strong sense of religion that I had never had before and I never wished for death again.
