Relax. You're doing well. You're doing a KZread gig and being conscious of the effect on your family, conscious of ensuring your viewers don't have unrealistic expectations and conscious of the fact you have a dedicated audience. Just as you are, interruptions and imperfections, is perfect. x

Your little ones are top priority. Please don't worry about getting everything perfect. I love seeing people who I can relate to. Life happens. Messes happen. No worries at all. 😊 I loved seeing your little boy helping you put the silverware away when you were unloading the dishwasher. He was just throwing the silverware in the drawer with no organization but he was learning and I could tell he was so happy to be helping mama. You're doing great and I love watching your videos no matter if it's perfect or not. You've got a sweet soul and it comes through every video. Blessings to you and your family!!

We have 4 hundred year old toilets in our home and I was dreading doing the swish and swipe everyday, UNTIL someone suggested when you need to “go” use a different bathroom and then do swish and swipe. The crazy thing is I am still doing all 4 toilets but it doesn’t feel so dreadful, it’s pairing an activity at it’s pest😉

For my girls’ drawers, I do the Kon Mari folding method. Works great and they can see everything without destroying the drawer. If they mess up the drawers, MOM gets to pick their outfit for the day and they do not like that so they keep them tidy.

That is the main thing that has helped me with the FlyLady cleaning routine, the message that its okay to not be perfect. Before I would feel defeated if I didn't have enough time to perfectly clean, but giving myself permission to just do 5 minutes here, 10 minutes there, makes my house visibly cleaner, and its not perfect, and that is okay! Perfection isn't tied to our moral ability. We shouldn't strive for perfection, just to do the best we can do. Even if you cant do it perfectly, its still worth doing.

It was neat to see what you got done in a day and honestly it looks a lot like ours. Batching tasks is something I like to do as well. Don’t feel some kind of pressure or obligation to make DITL videos. I can only imagine the camera maneuvering and conversations required to get the content that you did. I think it’s commendable that you are protecting your kiddos’ and your husband’s privacy. My husband would be the same way. 💚

I think the best thing is that you always have a positive attitude no matter what! Attitude is so important! You really do know how to put things into perspective and I admire that you include your kids in cooking so that they will learn how to do this when they have grown up even if it does cause a bigger mess... It is worth it because they are learning in the process. I think with the other things such as the toys that you are having to pick up though, if you just reduce the inventory and kept far less toys, you would have such an easier time tidying. I saw another friend whose children each had a b i n of their own things and there was a specific place for that b i n to slide into. I wish I'd known about that when our kids were little. Back then, I kept so many things and it was overwhelming to them and so much of it was rarely played with. They seemed to always choose the same items anyway. Less really is more and it makes your life so much easier! But truly I would say, keep staying true to yourself and never lose your positive attitude! These are great qualities and remember to keep listening to your intuition as far as your Channel. If God is asking you to step back and take a breather, It's all good and you're doing awesome!!!

My children are grown now. I have twin girls and a son 16 months younger than the twins. I remember feeling like I was constantly picking up toys. One day the twins were just about to turn 3 I decided if they were big enough to get toys out they were big enough to put them back. At first it felt like more work to go around telling them what to pick up. Then I had an idea that changed my life. I took a picture of the room clean an posted it on the wall. They had so much fun running around picking up toys and making the room look like the pictures! Even baby brother got in on the fun of picking up toys. All my stress was gone and the kids had a lot of fun😊

Embrace imperfection. Thank you Steph, I think you're delivering the kind of message all women need to hear. FlyLady was a gift from heaven when I found it, and its key concept of 'good enough'. I was totally blocked by the idea of having to clean things perfectly, which never seemed to happen for me. Once you embrace the concept of 'good enough', everything just seems easier. If it is clean enough, then it's clean. Even the most perfectly clean room starts to get dirty as soon as your cleaning is done, so... Thank you for being so candid and honest with your audience, this is why we love you. And I totally understand that you want to protect your children from social media exposure. Fewer videos is fine by me, if it's the only way for you to manage and protect your family. Take care!

You are a very good mom. You do a lot of things like I did when my kids were little. I always got them helping in whatever way they can. I wanted to help them see that it can be fun. We turned on music and sang and danced. I'd give my younger son a wash cloth and let him clean the fronts of cabinets, appliances and the bottoms of walls and doors. I never complained about what they did and they never saw me reclean those things. They helped sort laundry and put clothes in the drawers etc. Very much like what you do. When they were old enough to do real chores I made up chore cards on index cards. I would divide them between my 2 sons but they were allowed to trade as long as they all got done. I also did flylady then. I am just thinking about getting back into it. Thanks for the video!

I actually love seeing your house in a mess. Thank-you so much for sharing it! I love seeing other people's imperfection because generally when you go to someone's house, they have usually tidied up and I leave feeling like a failure as my house is never like that. I am in desperate need of a cleaning routine that I can sustain long term. I tend to focus on it for a while, then I end up in the all or nothing mentality and just give up when I can't get everything done and don't do anything at all! Love this routine and am going to try this.

Thank you sooo much for keeping it real. It is hard. We do our best every day and that’s all we can do. Some days you can show up at my house and it looks great. Other days it’s a total disaster and that’s okay. (It’s currently a disaster 🤷‍♀️). It’ll get cleaned up soon. I also do an afternoon tidy. It makes the evening less stressful for us.

Thank you from Durban South Africa. Your videos have helped me so much. A lot of the daily habits from the 21 days have stuck and I've started doing your massive decluttering challenge from two years ago. It is so very motivating. Love seeing the snatches of your lovely helpers and amazed you still play sports in all that cold 🤗❤

I love that you’re finding balance! I make videos and keep my kids and husband out of it too. It’s a bit of a challenge when they’re usually so involved! Keep it up! I love how natural you made your video!

We love to see your kids included. You keep it real. It is really hard to make a “real life “ video and not include them. There is another youtuber who rarely shows her kids and her house is always pristine and she acts like she does so much cleaning but she is totally unbelievable and I don’t follow her because of this. You are 100% the real deal and you have inspired this queen of procrastination to get up off her lazy butt and do something with my house. It still has a LONG WAY to go. In fact I am at a loss now of what to start first- decluttering or routine refresh or 21 day baby steps or try to do it all at once over a month. SO FRUSTRATING!
