Happy Mother’s Day to you 💗 Since watching your videos, I have been able to really enjoy each day and free up time to enjoy every weekend. It’s been a huge change to our quality of life that i can not be more grateful for. Yes, stress and bad days happen but your lessons have really stuck with me showing me how to except the day with a cup of tea, a good book candle side and some fresh air instead of letting the stress and saddened overtake my day. Looking forward to this weekend to savor with my DD20. She is moving out in a couple months and this will be the last Mother’s Day i have her home with me. Very bittersweet but now I am grateful and excited for this new journey instead of being filled with anxiety, doubt and worry. Thanks to you. Excited to see your clothes swap finds 😍 enjoy your weekend

Hilarious snack names, a Tardis-like purse and the wise advice to avoid tempting martyr behaviour - what's not to love about this vid?! Happy Mother's Day to you, Diane, and to all the women in this community (with and without kids). 💐💐💐 And I just want to add that if this Sunday is a day some of you dread, for whatever reason, do try to think of doing something extra nice for yourself. Plan it now 🤔😊

I giggled with "snotty hankie". Sounds so much nicer with a brogue! That purse is like Mary Poppins' bag!! I can't believe you fit so much into such a "wee" bag!! My purse is like a piece of luggage. My stuff always seems to expand to fit the size of my bag.

I’ve started looking for pretty baskets when I am in the thrift stores. I now have a library basket, a Hygge blanket basket for the gathering room, and a family snack basket. I love all your amazing ideas. I love binge watching your videos while I clean or listen to them when I drive to town ( I have a 40 minute drive one way because I live in the country). Thank you for taking time out of your life for us. It is much appreciated.

Happy Mpther's Day Diane! Thank you for the jam-packed video. There is only one thing where I need to contradict you: You, of all people, do NOT have a mush mind. You have a vibrant, engaged and ever expanding mind. As someone who is past menopause, once I got through the years of insomnia, the neuroplastic mind bounces back once regular sleep patterns are restored. Yay! You are doing all the right things with exercise, pampering, reading, learning (big points for multilingual brain exercise) and social engagement. You are a brain-fit rock star! I love that you blend DYT and Getting Things Done with FLY Lady system. Do you ever blend Swedish Death Cleaning into your decluttering thought process? Yesterday I was trying to help a friend let go of his father's golf clubs. He hates golfing, the clubs are too low-tech to use without causing ridicule and they have no decorative value. I asked him who would have to deal with his unwanted stuff when he would die. When he said his wife would take care of it, I suggested that he use the opportunity to demonstrate to his wife how much he loves her by decluttering the golf clubs now. Well, his eyes lit up and I could see the wheels turning. Talk about making the every day ordinary things special! That idea is turning all my ordinary decluttering into every day loving gestures. It is a fantastic feeling! Have a wonderful weekend of family love! ❤

Thank you so much for the videos this past week; it has been a wonderful review of the Flylady system done a la Diane. I try to follow the system as closely as possible but I like seeing how others use it as well. Watching the process actually being done really does reinforce all the steps in each zone as well as the daily "assignment". Thanks so much!

Some years ago when my daughters still lived with us, we used to go to the Lajes Air Field Base and at Friday I would buy some American treats, chips and chocolates. We rented a dvd and at night after dinner , we watched it all together and eating joyfully (the rest of the weak we would eat properly, ;) ). Those were sweet moments...those and the ones at night when the electricity wouldn’t run and we played games at candle lights. Those were the days... and our most luxury and treasured memories.

I really need to do a Friday night snack basket for my family! Such a great idea. Today I did a two hour hike with my dogs, lots of climbing. Had to bath them when we got home they were so dirty. For Mother’s Day I get donuts and lattes in bed and Indian food or Sushi for dinner. I decided a few years ago that the mess my family made when they cooked for me was just too stressful for me to clean up after they had cleaned up 🤪. This works so much better.

Cover your ears, Diane 😱...but I LOVE licorice 😍 and was in Haribo Heaven when there. My daughter was lukewarm on the licorice thing UNTIL she tentatively tried the licorice/chocolate our Airbnb host so thoughtfully left us. I had 2 pieces and my DD35 ate the rest of the box (!!). She bought our host a pretty gift box of another yummy licorice with a thank you note. (I have to go to World Market here to find a somewhat decent selection of Haribo.) On the SAS plane ride home, my daughter and I - and most of the Danes around us - were happily chomping on Haribo licorice mixes, lol! I know, it's a love/hate thing. Have a relaxing hyggelig weekend 🍷📚🕯🐿🐿 and a wonderful Mothers Day! 💝🌹🌹🌹

This week of visits and videos has been, in a word, brilliant. It was especially helpful for me to understand the "big picture' of how you organize around the Fly Lady system. By the way, I just read a delightful little book called: "A Monk's Guide to a Clean House and Mind." Perhaps I heard about it from you? Not sure, but apparently Zen Buddhist monks use a very similar system to keep their lives in order. That is to say: it's having daily routines and tasks, and sticking to them, that leads to peace of mind. And here's the chorus -- Rah - Rah - Rah to that!

Swimming bag gets sorted every time I go swimming as I can't go skinny dipping here. So I wash out the swimming costume and dry off my towel when I get home. I carry my phone a tablet 2 purses a bottle of water sunglasses x2 as Spyros carries nothing and he needs endless tissues a lipstick and lip liner .My bag is big and always heavy. Ok, Diane, admit it -- that it is no navy blue handbag -- it is a clown car disguised as a handbag! I have never seen so many things come out of such a small purse! ;-))

Wait . In the United States skinny dip means that you’re swimming naked. Is that what it means in Denmark?

Today was garden day, with trimming hedges, planting a tree, and a trip to the garden center to purchase some cheerful annuals for the front steps. Alan ran some errands with my son, DS 33. We will go out in the evening for a bit to finish up for the day. Tomorrow , our play will be a community vintage sale. I may wash the car when we get back, since the parking field is very dusty. It would not make any sense to wash today! Dinner is baked asparagus topped with crisp bacon. The next project will be painting prep for the garage, now that it is warm enough.

When were first married Friday night was cleaning night and buy a treat and a magazine. When the boys were in sccool Fiday night was movie night and I would make a poster of the movie and what time. Later Friday night was pizza night at a winery. We would go about once a year but we would have pizza more on Friday night. This week I put gas and washed and vaccuumed 2 cars. I don't have to clean out my purse because most of the time I carry my cell phone and really small wallet only. I don't really have a routine but just keep on think about what areas need cleaning. I don't wash the outside windows, I pay to have them cleaned. I washed the downstairs windows and screens 2 weeks ago. I like to start the day with your videos.
