I don't think it's a right comparison at all. At least not in this case. Andy Warhol Vs Michaelangelo is like comparing a full 3 course meal to snack. They both can be good, they are both good, just one has less elements to show the taste. American pizza is still similar in form to Italian to some extent

Maybe It's good but you can't say that is the second best pizzeria in the world. We don't know what joe's pizza taste like but of course Napoli is the italian city mother of pizza so probably that is more likely to be the best, but a lot of places make really good pizza in Italy. Even Italian people dont know them all.

But yeah I’m from ny aswell and Joe’s is one pretty good slice of pizza. It’s the basic pizza you’d imagine but it sure as hell isn’t a 9. Probably a 6 at best this dude must have been biased because there is no way an *American* pizza could compare with Italy. I’ve only been there once and went to a pretty decent place for pizza and it was miles better. But at the end of the day Joe’s is what you must have at night 😉

It's cool bc my aunt lives in a nice apartment with the best pizzeria I've eaten at right below it so u can literally order pizza then walk downstairs when it's ready and take it back to your room

Indeed! In Italy, pizzas usually can last even 24h-36h in open air with if it's not scorching hot. It's very usual from us (i'm Italian) to eat pizza even the next day if it was left. I was very surprised when he said that Joe's pizza was already molding after so little time (while it was inside a plastic bag for the majority of the trip, without being in contact with air so to initiate the oxydation process).

On a domestic basis, NYC hands down. People will toss Around Chicago deep dish and Detroit style, but NYC is the pizza capital of the U.S. That being said, I hear parts of Italy have the next level pizza as well as Italian food in general.

as someone who lives in a city that makes really good examples of many regional styles of pizza I have to say that the new York style is the one that leaves alot more to desire. now a Sicilian style pie 😍

@@lysolkills99oftherona42 NY style tends to be overused across the country. Even by chains. I love a regular slice in NYC. But a Sicilian pie is also fantastic here. Depends on my mood. But a NY Sicilian slice is very heavy. Pretty much a 2-1 ratio in terms of making me full.

They're honestly both amazing. I've been to Naples and loved the pizza. But the honest truth is there are many pizzerias in New York with the same consistency and taste as you can find in Naples. This shouldnt be a surprise. But every pizza lover should visit Naples. I loved my time there. Authentic Italy for me. And the views are breathtaking.

I have a feeling the pizza slice rode coach, someone kicked the back of its seat, babies crying, etc, and probably was extremely tired and cold when it arrived in Italy, then it had to clean up and be ready to compete with Italian pizza? I think the slice committed suicide.

I don't think it's a right comparison at all. At least not in this case. Andy Warhol Vs Michaelangelo is like comparing a full 3 course meal to snack. They both can be good, they are both good, just one has less elements to show the taste. American pizza is still similar in form to Italian to some extent

@@legrus542 that's kind of a good comparison actually, cause New York pizza is tasty but it's also pretty much junk food so it's best enjoyed as a snack some times, while Neapolitan Pizza is a genuinely nice meal that doesn't leave you all greasy and on the verge of an heart attack when you eat an entire pie.

Maybe It's good but you can't say that is the second best pizzeria in the world. We don't know what joe's pizza taste like but of course Napoli is the italian city mother of pizza so probably that is more likely to be the best, but a lot of places make really good pizza in Italy. But yeah I’m from ny aswell and Joe’s is one pretty good slice of pizza. It’s the basic pizza you’d imagine but it sure as hell isn’t a 9. Probably a 6 at best this dude must have been biased because there is no way an *American* pizza could compare with Italy. I’ve only been there once and went to a pretty decent place for pizza and it was miles better. But at the end of the day Joe’s is what you must have at night 😉

Up to more than twenty years ago it was Michele's. But nowadays, since the original pizzaiolo died, the quality has decreased a lot. Nowadays There are much better pizzeria in Naples and in the rest of Campania also. I'm from Naples.

Honestly though I would bet it is THAT good. I mean especially if you're passionate about something. Like in his case food, if you try food that really blows you away and you know it's gonna be one of the only times you ever get to have this dish. I feel like I'd have some tears of joy, personally.

It's cool bc my aunt lives in a nice apartment with the best pizzeria I've eaten at right below it so u can literally order pizza then walk downstairs when it's ready and take it back to your room

@@jordanfelt5978 There are some local Italian pizzerias established by Italians in my state who make pizza almost exactly like they make it in Italy so I still eat good pizza here. Ofc it costs more here but u get what u pay for and it's more than 100% worth it

Indeed! In Italy, pizzas usually can last even 24h-36h in open air with if it's not scorching hot. It's very usual from us (i'm Italian) to eat pizza even the next day if it was left. I was very surprised when he said that Joe's pizza was already molding after so little time (while it was inside a plastic bag for the majority of the trip, without being in contact with air so to initiate the oxydation process).

Its not a question of entropy. In Italy its difficult to a pizza becoming moldy after just 10 hours, but at least you have to move It to the fridge its obvious that in the air it kinda get moldy.

On a domestic basis, NYC hands down. People will toss Around Chicago deep dish and Detroit style, but NYC is the pizza capital of the U.S. That being said, I hear parts of Italy have the next level pizza as well as Italian food in general.

@@lysolkills99oftherona42 NY style tends to be overused across the country. Even by chains. I love a regular slice in NYC. But a Sicilian pie is also fantastic here. Depends on my mood. But a NY Sicilian slice is very heavy. Pretty much a 2-1 ratio in terms of making me full.
I was gonna be really shocked if that pizza after travelling for 10+ hours was better than FRESH pizza made in Italy 🤣

They're honestly both amazing. I've been to Naples and loved the pizza. But the honest truth is there are many pizzerias in New York with the same consistency and taste as you can find in Naples. This shouldnt be a surprise. But every pizza lover should visit Naples. I loved my time there. Authentic Italy for me. And the views are breathtaking.

I had an Italian friend in school, Wow for supper he could put it away, Everyday was a 3 course dinner at his house, Pasta with meatballs, pork chops, steak, his metabolism was fast, cause he never gained a pound. He was a good friend and his family so kind to me.😊

I have a feeling the pizza slice rode coach, someone kicked the back of its seat, babies crying, etc, and probably was extremely tired and cold when it arrived in Italy, then it had to clean up and be ready to compete with Italian pizza? I think the slice committed suicide.
