Flying over the Tetons and Yellowstone National Park - Coast to Coast EPIC Ski Trip: Part 2

Спорт

After a couple of days of awesome skiing in Jackson Hole, we have decided to try to fly to Canada and get to Whistler, BC. We take off from Jackson Hole airport, fly next to the Tetons and over Yellowstone National Park at just over 2000 feet above ground. We land at Gooding, ID for fuel and continue northwest in a race against time as Canadian customs are closing.

I think I’d pass on the nut mix after your co-pilot was “digging for gold”! Love the videos!

I know it was cold, but did you experience any density altitude issues in and out of JAC? I did notice you had a higher indicated airspeed base to final on the inbound leg.

@BriMo density altitude - yes definitely. Ground speed is significantly higher at that altitude even with lower temperatures. KJAC has a long runway so it was not an issue but absolutely something you must plan for.
