Flying Onboard Britain's NEWEST Airline!
I took a flight on Britain's newest airline, who are soon to start commercial flights to Alderney on a very cool type of aircraft.

I love how Noel doesn’t just do the big airlines or planes. He truly shows us all sides of aviation. And you can tell that he really loves it.

Noel is in fact Britain’s newest airline lol 😂 Fun vlog as always Noel
I flew on an Islander with Hebridean a few years ago and it was truly a magical experience. Thanks for a great video, Noel.

That Pilot was pretty chill!
That is such a cool plane. It looked like it only needed 100 yards to take off and the same for landing. The landing speed especially was so amazing. Thanks Noel for another brilliant video. Take care and have a great weekend.

I have flown in an Islander just once when I tried static line parachuting , so I have the dubious honour of having taken off in one but never landed in one
I got to fly on a Tri Islander with PBA airlines from Boston to BlueBell,Pa where there is a large Sperry Computer plant. Was great to get on that flight. At the time their fleet included a passenger carrying DC-3, but I didn't get to fly them enough to figure that one out. In the early 80s.

Amazing video! It was great meeting you yesterday at Manchester Airport!
Hi Noel can you try Canary fly never seen you do that commercial airline in the Spanish Canary Islands
Lee is my local airfield. It's always great to see the local area from the air. And in the Islander too. It will cool seeing the Trislander flying around the south again when Air Alderney get one. A sight and sound that has been sorely missed since Aurigny retired their fleet a few years back
Hey ho near my home town of Portsmouth. Love this. So many memories. Thanks Noel x
Blimey, I didn't know they were still making Islanders! Never flown on one myself, but I did fly on the Trislander quite a few times when Aurigny were still flying them around the Channel Islands. In fact my second ever flight was on a Trislander from Guernsey to Jersey.
You should check out the jumbo stay hotel. It is a converted Boeing 747 overlooking the airport in Stockholm, it could be a interesting stay.

I didn't know you were a pilot Noel! That's a pretty cool little plane
I live in Jersey and fond memories of the flights inter island on the Joey via Air Aurigny … sadly the costs charged to be a passenger on the flights led to the downfall as people just couldn’t justify .. the Channel Islands being the most expensive piece of water to fly or sail over .. I do hope that this new airline is able to keep it affordable
I can't wait until Noel takes a ride on the first commercial electric flight.

Great vlog Noel . Lee is my local airfield it’s got a great cafe and viewing area to watch any aircraft movements. Always nice to see the Islanders flying in and out .
Love the Islander. I went to boarding school, just up the road from Bembridge Airport, so there was no shortage of seeing them. Des Norman's kids went there too. I even managed to have a flight round the island too. Brilliant aircraft. Somewhere on KZread, there is some old 8mm cine footage of one landing and taking off from the school fields, and Whitecliff Bay. I'll try and find it for you.
Great vlog as always! I would love to fly the Islander myself. They were used in Norway from 1975-1985ish. Norwing was the name of the airline. The went belly up in the late 80s when they did not get the air ambulance routes. Looking forward to the next one!
Great Video Noel, I really enjoyed what i have seen so far, Cheers Mate well done!

Hi Noel, Biman Bangladesh Airlines is starting their commercial flight from Dhaka to Toronto starting July 27th, 2022. Just wondering if you are considering taking the flight. Thank you.
Beautiful multipurpose machine. Nice video. Thank you.
Fully agree Noel. Great to see these airlines I live near Biggs hill so will be looking out for them. Paul
Hi Noel, a great little aircraft to fly in and the trilander is fun to fly in, they are used flying in and around the Channel Islands. I agree we should be using these smaller aircraft in around the UK it would be quicker. Kind regards DS
6:28 Aviation 18 Deadly. Great Video As Usual Noel
Noel, thanks for that visit to Memory Lane. Years ago in suburban New Jersey there was a small commuter airline called the Red Bank Air Taxi which flew back and forth to JFK with Islanders and Twin Otters. I always tried to find an excuse to use it when flying in and out of the New York area. To me the best feature of being on the Islander was taxiing around JFK and looking at the big boys "up close and personal" as they say. Simply put, the Islander and Twin Otter were just such fun. Happy travels.

Always loved my flights on Islanders where I live in Solomon Islands.
Noel, I just love the little homage you've given to the Islander from 7:53 onwards and I can just totally agree with you. I use the Islander regularly during the year for flights from Norddeich/Germany to the North Sea island of Juist and it's always a wonderful little ride with these tiny work horses and yes, they aren't luxurious or fancy, but they do great in what they were made for and that is what counts. Keep up the good work, really enjoy your channel! Cheers from Germany! :-)

Another fantastic trip report/vlog. The Islander is a fantastic aircraft, and there is another place that you should visit - killing several birds with one stone. The Isles of Scilly, they operate between Lands End + St Mary's the Islander (a former Skybus Islander) was used in a James Bond Film, a number of years ago. Plus they also have the UK's only passenger helicopter service, Twin Otters, and The Scillonian is also fun (the ferry between Penzance and Scilly)
I love the BN Islander/Trislanders. Good to see they are still going strong
I live in guernsey and have family living in alderney! lovely island!!
I had no idea Islanders were still in production!
Thank you Noel for taking the time to do this and then sharing with us. I would probably feel a little uneasy knowing there's one crew up front. But, I presume you would jump into the right hand seat should it be necessary ?
Enjoyed the Show as Allways
I'll definitely use this airline from Shoreham! That's super exciting!
A friend of mine use to be Engineering Manager for Loganair based in Kirkwall. He specialised on the Islander

Flew on a lot of these growing up as a kid in Papua New Guinea, they were perfect for the rugged terrain and short jungle landing strips and also the pleasure in a Trilander from an old defunct airline called Douglas Airways PNG . Like you say they are like an aerial Landrover, they just keep going. Had some other great planes there as well I had flights on, the Twin Otter, same, very reliable and also a Short 360, like a flying box on wheels, DC-3s, Fokker F-27s, all great. Love the sound of the engines on the Islander as well, I think high wing mounts you just get a more beautiful sound from the pitch changes etc, than on a low or mid wing. Nice video.
Nice to see you down south
loved flying with you as always

Noel you are so right, flights on the Islander are very memorable indeed. My one and only flight on one was way back in 1987 from Panama City's tiny (as it was then) domestic airport (PAC) to Puerto Obaldia (PUE) on the edge of the Darien Gap on an Aerolineas Nacionales BN2 while I was on my way to South America by land. I camped out at PAC for two days knowing that flights went on an ad hoc basis when enough people were at the airport at the same time. I eventually rented the aircraft and pilot for $36 a head with a group of 4 or 5 Colombians who were conveying cardboard boxes of unknown contents. The hour or so hop included flying low over the steaming jungle, Panama's Tocumen airport, and the Panama Canal before arrival on Panama's Caribbean coast at an air strip that went straight up a mountain side - like Lukla no chance of a TOGA. More than 35 years later it is still one of the greatest hour's I have spent in the air.
Flew on an Islander and Trislander back in the late-80s between Jersey and Cherbourg with Aurigny. The only times it wasn't just my bags that were weighed!
Hey Noel, come visit Reno NV! You can check out Aha! Air, a new Regional airline that flies to small airports in the West. And then we can go up and fly around in my flight club's Cessna 172, we can do some mountain flying to Lake Tahoe.
The airport I’m training at! Live over the road from it and go to the cafe there every week for brekkie. Lovely little airfield.
My work used to take me to several off shore islands , took many flights on the BN islander, great little plane.
You’re so lucky you got to fly on that plane!
Crazy how quickly the plane took off!
