When the DJI Mavic 2 came out, many people wondered if the new video transmission protocol - OcuSync 2, would work with the DJI Goggles and DJI Goggles Racing Edition. Good news - it does! In this video we take you through how to update your firmware and get the goggles synchronized with your new Mavic 2!
Have you heard about the KZread drone meet up we are having December 1, 2018?

Great video Kelly. I kinda wish I had the both Mavic 2 Zoom and the goggles. Thanks for letting everybody know that it does work. I wish I had more time to watch everyone’s videos, but I’m barely keeping up with my week days Vlogging lol. Thanks for sharing. Also not sure if I thanked you already but thanks again for your part in Jim Hightower’s video y’all did for me. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻😉

Buzzards on the Road You can see just fine but the drone loses signal with your remote and stops in place and Then regains spotty signal until you get it back closer. Scary though that it never triggered RTH which now makes make me nervous to ever use the goggles even after they hopefully fix the issue.

Did a little research after watching this. The goggles are on sale so naturally I bought them...and a mavic 2 zoom with the fly more combo. You should get a commission from DJI.

If you have a smart controller you don't really need the goggles do you?

@@Chris-fj9ir Yeah, the goggles are like being on board of the thing. Once you fly with the goggles you won't want to fly with anything else. The smart controller is still nice to have though for some circumstances

You have to the controller connected to the drone before you bind the goggles. The Sdcard slot on the original goggles doesn't record from the goggles, it only lets you play back videos from the drone IF NO HIGHER RESOLUTION than 1080p/30fps. It can't play 2.7k or 4k. It also changes the resolution on the drone itself. If you want the drone to stay 4k, you have to use your phone/ tablet to change the video settings back to what you want.

Will the gimbal move as you move your head movement?

Joseph Park yes. You can set it to “head tracking gimbal” or “head tracking flight”, which actually controls the drone with your head. Fun stuff

For those of us who wear glasses, is there a way to focus the goggles when wearing them? Are they large enough to wear glasses inside of them?

  • @readysetdrone

Yes, there is a wheel on the bottom for focus and if the glasses are not too big, they will fit under the goggles.
