Flying in 1944 original Fieseler Storch

This WWII Fieseler Fi 156 Storch was originally built for the Luftwaffe in 1944. Norwegian pilot Tor Nørstegård and his team spent 10 years restoring it with exact accuracy. With Tor in the frontseat, join on this flight over the beautiful Scandinavian scenery. But watch out for the USAAF L-4 Grasshopper! (Read the original story: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fiesele...)

Beautiful plane! I've always liked the Piper Cub and Fieseler Storch aircraft. The Storch is properly named with it's long landing gear. Both were amazingly versatile aircraft.

Yes, super cool aircraft. Good video, I think I swallowed some exhaust, felt like I was sitting in the back.

thank you, these small planes are highly interesting. short, fast taks offs, and the engineering to enable to it to the off and land, in most situations. Patrick, Northamptonshire

Did they really have electric starter? I imaged it was a hand-kranked inertia starter?

It's a shame the swastika has a bad meaning just because some dick head used it for his national flag. Perhaps one day it'll regain its benevolent status in your country. Deutschland?

@@houstonhelicoptertours1006 I understand what you mean but keep in mind that not everybody is American and lives in a country where people have no idea of what war, destruction and oppression are on their soil. In Europe the swastika brings back very bad memories so that nobody appreciates to see this Devil's mark again, out of some films or documentaries. That's why it's simply forbidden: this has to be understood as a form of respect for the victims and their families. No need to rub salt in the wound ... Nothing to do with the restoration of an old aircraft and this one is perfect but, should I have the same airplane, I would erase the swastika otherwise it would be perceived as sympathizing with Nazism, something similar to wearing it on an armband and going to town. Maybe not understandable from the US but that's the way it is. Period.
