Randy really knew how to write the quintessential jam , involving ear caching riffs ( w/ the variations and embellishments) and a very melodic/anthemic progression. Such a brilliant player and composer .........

nice lesson dude. As a suggestion can you please make a dinosaur jr lesson, if so with a solo, j mascis is such an underrated player.

Randy was trying to write a song based off of "All Right Now" and this is what he came up with. He was very pressed for time when recording "Diary" so he had to compose quickly. That's also why a couple of the guitar solos on the record are guide solos. He ran out of time. Definitely need reverb for this to capture the sound Randy got in the huge Ridge Farm Studios room.

This guy is my favorite lesson guy on KZread. As a self-taught guitar player who learned everything by ear I don't know all the chords and notes and strings so it's difficult for me to watch some lessons because they make it so technical with naming each of the Frets some chords and sad as it is I just don't know all that stuff this guy does the same thing but he still makes the lessons easy enough to where you can play along and figure it out....
