I'm the owner! Really had an amazing time and Misha is really nice. His car control is out of this world and really shows the potential of the car. Would definitely do this again but first I'm going to get some more upgrades so it's a bit more track friendly. Also had an instruction lap of Misha after which I can highly recommend (where I drive and he tells where to brake, take the corner etc). Next time I will come back on a slightly less hot day. 30 degrees is hard on the car and tires but it did well :)

@@MaciekJutrzenka yep. I suppose in modern cars the suspension technology is such that little can go wrong. However, that is not the case for my car - despite putting a Bilstein B12 in, and some other improvements, it's still an old suspension design with a solid rear axle. Then again, Sport Auto did a 9:25 with it 30 years ago, on stock suspension, on those terrible tires back then.. so I guess you _can_ floor it and not die :)

Great episode. I really like the clarity of the owner's mind, he knows exactly what he has and cares for the car beautifully. I know it's not easy being on the track, but divisive attention. You have to take care and 'she' will repay you much better.🖖👍😜💪🇵🇱💯

@@marvinvisser5039 very impressive Subbie!! Been looking for a fun winter/daily car that will haul the dog and fishing gear on the weekends and you made my search a little more difficult of a decision to make !! Was thinking Jeep or 3series wagon, but I also want something fun to drive other then my C7 Corvette in the warmer months as well . My wife has a 2013 BMW X1 w/ the M package (great car and a blast to drive spiritedly) and might take that over and upgrade her to a Porsche Macan in a few months. But after watching your video my dilemma is do I keep the X1 or trade it in and get a Subbie now??

@@k3corvette35 Well a Subaru is not perfect :) It has downsides and weaknesses. Fuel consumption is one. It's a plastic interior SUV with no real luxury. They are pretty expensive to mod and I suggest maintenance always to be done by specialists. But learn them and maintain the car and it will be very very rewarding and reliable. But yeah the sound and torque of the EJ255 and turbo wooshes bring plenty of smiles. Bonus is parts are readily available everywhere, even for my JDM only STI :) And there are many specialists as there are many subbies. Also information from the community is widely available. Also if I calculate back what I have spent so far you cannot drive any other more versatile car for this money. In my eyes its the best allrounder you can enjoy always.

@@marvinvisser5039 thanks for the info ! My wife's X1 can be thirsty too ! Just depends on how much of my left foot I put into it ! It's a fun car with the paddles and runs staggered tires so we have a winter set of wheels and tires already for it ! Just it's getting on 10 years old now but only has 65k miles on it . Guess it boils down to trade in value and finding the right winter car for me when we upgrade her car ! Either way the C7 ain't going anywhere LoL !! Take care and have fun on the ring !!

Very cool video to see, as usual.Mishas driving is fantastic, you are - as Marvin said - blown away from whats possible with your car when it's driven by someone who knows what he's doing at the Track, and veeerry cool car 😎 😎👍 With an oilcooler it will work 😉 i tried 😅 My car is the other Subaru Misha mentioned i guess - had the same heat issues and my brake fluid gave up to early - so I went home, put new and proper brake fluid in the following days, installed an oilcooler and changed the suspension setting a bit - tested it again on the Nordschleife - works better now 😊 At 30° it had 105° Oil and 102° water when arriving at Steilstrecke. Thats ok I think 🙂

Nice! Yeah I might consider an oil cooler with internal thermostat. But will have a look how to route it as the lines will be close to the exhaust manifold.

@@marvinvisser5039 it depends which kit you use, but it will get close to the manifold with eyery kit somehow, but it's doable 😊👍 I have a Mocal sandwich plate with 90° thermostat and a 15 row cooler behind the left front fog light cover. In daily use normally it's not necessary, but on the Ring it will give you some more safety for the EJ25 😊

Planning to do so. But I will only do that also when I have put in forged pistons which will happen at some point. So I can return with 400hp and I will put track pads in it and let him retry it. Also ordered stiffer springs with higher spring rates all around so combat roll (also to lower the Forester more)
