I miss this NHL. Some of these guys wouldn't survive the prelock out NHL. This was when heavys could play and there were just more than one tough guy in the lineup.

When you remember actually watching these games and these players and then do the math. Time really does fly. Fridge AND Brashear on the ice for the Flyers! Yikes.

I remember a friend of mine playing floor hockey with this game on when we were like 8

@sortman94 exactly, and he could play powerplay or pk and he had some good hands for scoring too and very fast for his size.

Barnababy was lucky that Purinton jumped to the rescue. I loved Barnaby and wish there were more characters like him in today's hockey... but man he always got pummeled. A fight against Brashear wouldn't have had very nice outcome. Haha.

@thinkingjack True true. He had a pretty bright future but the team was so deep in 04 and 06 so he didn't get the ice time he deserved. I'm glad he got to play more in Minnesota. I wonder what he's up to nowadays. Probably KHL or something.

@WhySoSeerious they did show some good spirit and i do agree, they probably wont make it again, the pronger effect only lasts his first year with every team

@Flyers20Fan Yeah, gonna miss Simmonds for sure. I'm just glad we got to keep Quick, though. He saved us more than once last season. Still can't get that damn game 3 against the Sharks outta my head. Ugh...

@sortman94 Radivojevic was fucking awesome, i hated that phoenix traded him but since he went to philly my second fave from the east i had no problem getting to see him in games. he was awesome good hard worker

in my opinion getting rid of patrick sharp was a mistake made by the flyers

No. Trading Richardson for Timander and McGillis for Knuble were awful decisions. Not to mention getting rid of Cechmanaek and retiring Tocchet. That IMHO was the worst decision they made. Period.

@Flyers20Fan Yeah, I agree. We do have good fans, but we're no way near the Swedes (especially the two teams based in Stockholm, AIK Stockholm and Djurgarden). But anyways, I agree, you have good fans. The thing is, LA's not really a hockey town, but we do actually have alot of die hard fans.

Watch at 2:30 and look for 93 Nedved he just got his bare hand up in time.

@sortman94 Yeah i wish he came back to phoenix so i could keep watching him play, he was fucking awesome, instead he went and played a diminishing role after a while in that old crappy minnesota system that lemaire had which caused him to leave. He's a leading scorer in the KHL actually

The Brash/Barnaby dustup with Purinton jumping in... first thing the refs needed to do was get Barnaby off the ice, not Brashear. The F'ed that up.

@Flyers20Fan Yup. The only thing is that, after watching Swedish hockey, NHL feels kinda lame (I'm talking about the fans now). Obviously, we (NHL) have a better league (The Swedish Elite League is ranked 3rd in the world), but the fans here are insane. It's so damn cool. Can't wait for next season to start. And I love the Kings, but like u said, Philly's always been a hockey town.
