Well, they better pony up some serious cash for him because he's UFA soon. Giroux too. And with Giroux's down season and a half, he's not getting anything like what he was. He's going to have to take a pay cut to stay in Philly. Because there are teams that will have more space to pay him. And with some of the hate he's been getting from the "fans" that know nothing about hockey, he might leave. Who knows. With the team they have now, Coots might bounce too.

This year Couturier emerged as a hell of a player for the Flyers. Even if his numbers dip next year, which is possible considering this year was like 30 points above his average, he's still established himself as a top tier defensive forward with great offensive upside. And if anyone tries to discredit his performance in game 6, on a torn MCL, you can piss off. I'd give player of the night to anyone who managed a hat trick and two assists on a busted knee. That's god damn impressive, very gutsy.

Safe to say his numbers havent dipped at all and hes proven himself to be an elite 2 way player.

These highlights made it look like a blowout for the Flyers. LOL

Lol yeah it's rare you lose a game with 5 goals for your team and a hat trick performance but it happens. I have lots of respect for Couturier's performance though.

It probably wasn't the right choice. Sometimes it's better for both yourself and your team to not play when injured.

An MCL isn't going to stop you that much (I've torn both ACLs and a MCL) but still scoring 5 points and a hat trick is still impresive

Kbholla I am not trying to knock him cause I have no chance of playing any pro hockey in North America but tearing an ACL compared to a MCL is alot because a ACL needs surgery and a MCL just a 2 week break from playing. I still have a lot of respect for him though for getting 5 points and a hat trick on a torn MCL

They didn't try to hurt Malkin, that was obviously incidental contact and just unfortunate. Maybe you're right though and they took it too far this year and hurt their own star player lol, but that's just a silly joke I said.
