Ill bet that there was no need to do that soldering butcher job and put small gauge wire between the battery and controller. It already had lugs on it to bolt directly to the controller and the wire from the battery was long enough if the battery was installed in the optimal orientation. Anyway if the controller is upgraded I’m sure they will fix the battery cable correctly.

Man you can't solder to ring terminals like that. It's lazy unsafe and will severely limit current and performance!!

T2 your videos are super helpful. I just bought a Fly RZ. I will eventually do the switch out for the lithium battery. Do you know how to get the speed limiter off this bike so it goes faster? Right now it tops out at 43 mph. Thanks keep up the good work.

At 10:00 FF why does it do not a Power Poles SB120A at the Original Power Cables and this in the others from the Battery? That is better, because on the Cables are 100 A when we drive the Bike...

Is this basically the same model as the RZ green edition on the website with the 72v 55ah lithium battery option? I live in Florida and I don't think we have any local dealers so I'd have to order from the site.

there's a Fly ebike dealer in Miami, Look Closely at the Green Edition and this one the Green has 3 slits in the fairing they are slightly different in style Minor Differences but overall yeah they pretty much the same.

We squeezed two 55ah batteries into an RZ before they went in easy but two 100 ah No But one will fit easily most I seen was 108 volts in a RZI believe it was 100 ah Battery too.

Yes you can. Not sure how much time you'd get from the batteries but should give a good bit of charge

it's not recommended but people do make sure you have some one who has experience or someone who done this before. it's simple but it can go both ways.

I don’t know if your channel allows links but ill post the link to a KZread video showing the CORRECT way to add that lithium battery, without soldering the heavy gauge lugs of the high amp lithium battery to the original small gauge wires from the low amp SLA batteries. If you already upgraded your controller you probably (hopefully) fixed that already.

Why the battery specs never listed. No names , type of cell, or data sheet on C ratings.

Thanks for the video! I’m just sad seeing how they stabilize the battery using styrofoam and securing the wires using duct tape😢. A cleaner job looks better. I hate to see screws are not also placed as it was. The last guy placed the black screw in the wrong place. I maybe so picky and observant but if it’s my bike I would ensure I do it like no evidence of being touched other than how factory did it.

Hello I have the same type but It came with 6 12voly 20amp...whats the spec on those batteries looks like theyre is 4. And also I ran lithium Lead Acid and capacitor paralell keep the same 72v but raied up the amps. It's a little heavy but the trade of I can do South queens to coney island and back to South queens .thanks great vids

So who makes the battery? Where did you get it from? Btw, that foam packing is going to crumble and get destroyed. Exactly if you put two in you’ll double your capacity. But you are still using the original cables that won’t be able to handle the extra amps. Need to replace it all the way to the terminals. There’s a reason why they have such beefy cables on the battery. Btw, those are Anderson connectors. You need a new person to do your electrics. No disrespect but damn, dude. You gotta learn at least the basics.

It took a min to grow on me after I rode one I started liking it a lil more om 50/50 on buying one and they keep bringing the prices down so it really make me want to get one Yeah I like them

Do you knowif the lithium battery is lifepo4 or lithium ion? One is a lot safer and last lnger, the other one well...uz can light it up and it don't stop burnin.

It's Lithium Ion do be careful messing with LiPo It's for the extreme experienced enthusiasts rider not for beginners stay away if you not readyor knowledgeable of LiPo4

Thinking I might be able to get 280ah at 72 bolts in the compartment but I might just get the normal lithium pack as I don't have a lot of time for projects right now. It's like less than half the weight look at the lead batteries they filled the whole battery box to the top and the lithium filled less than half the battery box plus the lithium is like twice as strong last longer with less weight

Lithium battery is dangerous. If somehow water goes inside. Its over. Again.... if there's a short circuit...and Lithium battery catches fire. There's no way to stop it...

Why he didnt change the wiring on the controller to match the wiring on the new battery 😮,he maybe coming back for repairs on that 😢

As of 2022 they now offer a street legal version which is scaled down to 40 mph with a 17 digit vin. Number previous versions like the 2021 were considered off road vehicles and did not require a vin license. Or registration and did 65 mph+ being the new is over 30 mph a permit would be nice a license is not required even the permit thing is not etched in stone they just following moped rules for these for now and a license is not required for Moped they focused on riders over 16 years of age and safety No a license is not required but it can help

Yeah but you suppose to be atleast 16 years old I mean they fairly easy to ride and it's no real rule but Safety us the biggest concern. A 14 year old on a motorcycle certain people may feel away about it.

sound like controller issues sound like the controller is starting to fail it can't handle the constant current flowing thru it or one of your wires may be spllitting some where ebro inspect the wires as best as you can for any i mean any little damage then take a picture.

Yes there is a huge following for these bikes guys do alot great modifications like putting real Michigan Tires in them guys swap Motors controller. It guys upgrade they motor to 5000 watts tins of things to do and fairly inexpensive you can get a brand new one of these for like $1800 street legal

Previous models did not need to be registered but the changing ways they want you to to register to save trouble I don't know if it's fully required but it is highly recommended you can register with a permit

I have seen 1 year old ones for sale cheap with dead batteries they must come with really bad original batteries/

Yeah those are they the lead acid batteries they lose alot of power after 2 years but they don't catch fire and they are much cheaper in price and performace

You have to learn how to solder first.
