What's up guys! In this video I review and do a comparison of all 3 of the FlyBird foldable weight benches. FlyBird currently has the most popular workout benches on Amazon with over 4.5 stars on all of them. All three of these weight benches are cheap and created to fold away under your bed or in your closet when you're done using them. There's a pretty big difference between the larger and smaller Flybird workout bench so depending on your height make sure you get the correct one. All of these benches are rated around 600-650lb weight capacity which should be plenty for most people since they are designed for dumbbell workouts. All Flybird benches are fid benches and can do flat, incline and decline workouts. I do think the FlyBird weight benches are a great option for many home gyms that do dumbbell work and need a bench that can fold away. If you're just looking for a cheap or low cost bench that is great for barbell work, I recommend checking out my fitness reality 2000 video.

    I like your reviews Matt. I got my inspire FT2 put together and been using it. It took me like 3-4 a night for 4 nights. I have one problem that the seller says he doesn’t know a fix for it. One of the Red levers on the carriage isn’t moving freely so it doesn’t make contact easily with the smith bar when i twist the smith bar to move the carriages up the rails.

    Some of the reviews mentioned that the seat folds in on itself when they are working out and that the old small one felt unstable. Have you experienced anything like that? Also, I’m 5’3” 118 pounds, I feel like one of the smaller benches would suit me better, do you think it would make a difference between the new versus older small bench? Will be using it for traditional weight lifting program (has chest press, shoulder press, row, Bulgarian split squat). And thank you for making this review, super helpful.

  • @MattTolbers

    @MattTolbers

    3 жыл бұрын

    The seats can't really fold unless you don't put the pin in. The bigger one is a little nicer overall, but being 5'3'' it's probably to high for you. If you're only doing dumbbell work the small ones should be fine. It's not the most stable thing in the world but for a cheap foldable bench it does the job. If you want something more solid go with one of the Fitness Reality Benches I have a review on

    Those height measurements you said - did you actually do the measuring or just read the specs from a sheet? I ask because on the Amazon website they have a picture of the red stripe bench with a measurement of 16.5" but it looks as though that is from the floor to the bottom of the fulcrum where the bench folds in half which is below the BOTTOM of the seat. That would mean that the actual seat height is 2" or 3" above that 16.5". Can you take a quicky measurement an find out what the real height to the top of the bench is?

    We purchased the red Flybird and it came in a box with an horrible odor. Even after taking it out of the box the order was horrible. It came in a box marked China. This was purchased on 4\6/22 from AMAZON This bench is really nice but the odor is very pungent, very caustic. What type of Faux leather and padding is used? IS THE PADDING polyurethane foam? It is really a sickening smell. Caused respiratory discomfort. I did return the b Flybird bench. Unfortunately, I had to send it back twice to Amazon. Both benches were delivered with the worst odor. Very caustic smell. I reached out to the Flybird Company and they ignored me. No one ever contacted me. It was the red trimmed "Fly Bird" work out bench .Now , I will have to find/research for another Fold up, adjustable weight bench. So frustrating! Do you have any suggestions? thanks!

    @@MattTolbers Yes i'm about your size I actually wanted to buy the first one, but it will probably be too small. What do you think?

    Yeah the other one would be to small for you than. Make sure to check out my fitness reality 2000 vs FlyBird video before you get the FlyBird, just to make sure you don’t want that instead. It’s my favorite weight bench under $200

    Update6 months and I'm still loving this bench. kzread.infoUgkxo_64lVTGMk7y4aXTPxPOcQ3YTLyQ6kYV I use it almost daily. I've gotten used to the small wobble and it's no problem at all. Love the storage, it folds right next to my weight set in the garage and hardly takes any space. I wish the covering material was a little bit tougher. I have a feeling that in a couple years it'll tear, but the bench is very well priced that I would just buy a new one.3 month usage review. Awesome bench for someone looking for compactness and storage. I did have to drill a couple holes to adjust my preferred seating position and leg bar position but that's only due to my personal preference. It's very sturdy for normal workouts, but for anyone going above 100# dumbbell press it wobbles ever so slightly. I would probably go with a fixed bench if that's the case. That being said i can accomplish 99% of my normal gym workout with this setup. Very happy with the purchase.

    Is it stable for 205 or more flat benching?
