I was in Paphos last month. Its worth doing the promenade walk from the small Greek church into paphos Harbour. Around 5km walk but beautiful walking past the grounds of the hotels with the sea to ur side. Also when on a plane u should still be able to use Google maps even without a network connection the GPS will pick up ur location however can take a minute of so. Enjoy and love the videos

We always fly from Manchester so was a first time for us to fly from East Midlands in February with Jet2 and I must say the staff in the airport were superb, very polite and the whole experience to Fuerteventura was top notch, a lovely 5 night break in the sun..😎☀️ Great video keep up the good work..👍

Jet 2 are currently in the process of replacing all their aircraft to airbus a321 neo’s, at the minute the neo’s only operate from Birmingham and Manchester but this will be changing as they get more delivered

We love TUI and would never go with any other company, we even went on a cruise with them and it was amazing. My husband is disabled and they look after him so well

You asked for land marks, well you would have flown by the airport heading towards Petra tou Romiou ( Aphrodite’s Rock) then make a sweeping turn back to Paphos airport. I live in Pafos, and good to see you have come to our beautiful island for a holiday. Fabulous place to live and great for tourists wishing to escape the continuous cold, wind and rain in the UK. Hi Lee, I really enjoyed watching your plane journey to Paphos, Cyprus. I've always booked with TUI for holidays as they're always reliable, always happy to help, nothing is too much trouble, and I've never had any problems or delays with them. I'm going on holiday to Benidorm in June this year, and the only thing that TUI has done that they've never done to me before is change my flight time. I don't see this as a problem, though as long as I get to Benidorm, I'm not bothered at what time I fly. I hope you have a great holiday. ✈️🎬🕶🏖🌴🍻

Hi Lee.. We recommend Georges fish bar in Akrotiri. You can drive right up to RAF Akrotiri passing a salt lake with pink flamingo's on & a lovely restuarant as well. There also a pub! We spent many times there when my son was based in RAF base. Also Fanagusta which is famous back in the 60's for a desserted town due to conflict. Thats by nicosia!!! Enjoy Lee. We love Cyprus...

Last time we were in Paphos was for out honeymoon in 1995 , going back in a few months will be amazing to see how much its changed. We have booked our first flight with Jet 2 from East Midlands for another trip so looking forward to trying there from LHR where we usually go with BA or Gatwick on EJ. Looking forward to the vlogs. I use Sygic maps when flying. Just download the countries or regions you're flying over, open Sygic maps and hold the phone at the window. You might have to zoom out when the signal locks on but you'll get position and even the speed you're travelling.

Hi Lee, i used to be an Aircraft Engineer in the Royal Air Force and the area where the Aircraft were parked up was called the Pan.

Looks like the Athena Beach Hotel to me. My late mum and stepdad were regular visitors to Cyprus especially Paphos and have stayed in many of those hotels. I remember driving along that road with my mum pointing out the hothey had stayed in or visited. My wife and I preferred Limassol

Lee, what you saw was secondary power for the aircraft whilst the engines are not running. It supplies electric for lighting, fridges etc...

Flying with Tui early May to Malaga with the family for 10 nights. Have only flown with BA, EasyJet, Norwegian and RyanAir in the past so hopefully it will be ok.

If you want a decent fish and chips shop, I would recommend Dehkelia (between Larnaca and Agia Napa) it’s about an hour by car from Pafos. Hire a car, it’s usually cheap over there.

Hi Lee, I enjoy watching your videos. TUI are a good airline to fly with. I flew with them in their 1st class to Mexico, no complaints.

No matter where and when you fly, that seatbelt should ALWAYS be fastened!!

Back when i used to go regular, it was Monarch or Cypriot airways, Cypriot was the better, as you felt your Hol started right away, Keo beer, and local food served as the in flight meal, When there was such a thing on a 4 hour flight ! Enjoy the time spent there, Its changed a lot !!

Industrial vandalism. I had one of the agents from the turbine companies say it was industrial architecture. Have you ever heard such BS. Of course the stupid local council gave permission. In the UK if the councils say no the companies go crying to Westminster. We know what a shower of money grabbers they are. 😡😡

The electrical apparatus you saw connected to the aircraft on the ground at east Midlands was an AGPU (Aircraft ground power unit). It supplies electrical power to the aircraft to provide the power necessary to do what has to be done in preparing the aircraft for the next flight. The other option is for the flight crew to use the APU (Auxiliary power unit) which is a small jet engine located in the tail of the aircraft which supplies power, and can also supply pneumatic power to aid in starting one of the main engines if there is an issue with starting. Although there are two downsides to an APU. 1. Noise which affects ground staff and embarking/disembarking passengers. 2. The fact the APU uses jet fuel from the aircraft's fuel tanks which has a $$ cost. If an aircraft has been fueled, but due to an unexpectedly long delay the APU has been sucking fuel for longer than expected, it has happened that additional fuel has had to be uplifted. Typically this would only happen on long flights such as Sydney to Dubai in an A380 for example where fuel management isn't as free and easy as a 737 flying from Sydney to Melbourne. I know, I've experienced it. A real pain in the.......

Lee, been formal cabin cree with another airline, Jet2 are good but I have found TUI inboard flight service more relaxed and easy going, better value and overall pleasant experience

there's a little garmin receiver that you connect to your phone that gives good gps reception called GLO2. People use em while sailing, i assume they work inside a plane. There's also very cheap no-brand copies on ebay under a tenner, dont know how well they work.

Lee - navmii allows you to download maps and the GPS works a treat onbaord. Comes in very handy for Ryanair, jet2 etc as like you I want to know where I am 😀
