Few years late to the party, I tied quite a few of these for a trip i had planed for 2020 and we know how that went. Any how, I joined my brother out on one of our local lakes here in the bay area of Cali. in the dead of winter with the knowledge that trout where stocked, but there were warm water species as well. Now I'm no fly fishing wizard, but I caught 11 trout, 4 largemouth bass and I stopped counting crappie but I would have limited twice over. Point being this fly was all I cast last week in the regular format and a jig style under a indicator. I will never go without these in the fly box. Thank you Cheech !!

Awesome report Aric!!
Ryan Houston does a great yellow perch pattern as well.Keep up the great work.
Might be my favorite video to date. The fly was awesome, as always but the cop bit followed by the Elf on the Shelf joke made me laugh from a healthy place. Thanks for that!
Last night I had this revelation and tied baby fats on jig hooks and now look at this! Great minds think alike
I found when using the goldenrod color of "NOT the brand of markers you did," the golden color immediately turned red on the dubbing. So I'm guessing I"ll be purchasing those markers. :) Great tie - that Hanak 480 is a solid hook. Thanks for posting.!
If they ever do a re-make of Smokie and the Bandit, you can be Sheriff Buford T. Justice, Jackie Gleason would approve!
Dope fly !!!
What's the deal with the " Thumbs Down" on these types of videos? People just jealous or something.

lonewulff36 they usually happen within a few seconds after posting the video, which means they are from people who are subscribed. The subscription and the “interaction” actually help rank the video higher with KZread... who knew! Haters actually lending a helping hand!

That makes sense. I seem to see the number 4 on this in other videos. Mistery Solved. Lol...thanks for reply.
I normally just incorporate the bead into the head by putting the eyes on the bead

Bill Grey it gets too bulky that way.
Try Zap a Gap on a bodkin to stick the eyes where you want them. Much easier than stocking my fingers into super glue. The UV works over zap a gap just fine.

EscalanteFlyFlipper yup. I like to cut the zap brush so I can get precise. I actually prefer placing the eyes with my fingers so i can get them right where I want them.
Can this be fished with centerpin equipt
Good looking Bait fishfish If wa tied in Saltwater iSerious 2/0 stripers? Or drum? K🤷♂️
Nice pattern Clark but...as was already mentioned....why not put the eyes on the bead ?

Bruce Johns makes it waaaaay to bulky.
Can ya catch fish on em if they’re not tied by a Squatch? Asking for a friend.
So Creech why not just use some barbell eyes? Just asking, never questioning the master.
