Those Danish perch are so vividly coloured, here in Norfolk they tend to be a little dull because of the muddy water.

Yea, redfin are a bit bigger than yellowfin lol. I believe they get to about max 55-60 cm or about 2 feet and the world record was more than 3.5kg I think. Especially these Baltic sea perch get really big from eating fat herring in the low salinity water. Catching them around 1.5kg is not uncommon.

Well this is my third or fourth time watching this, I learn something different every time. Something magical about these fish and homemade flies. I gotta go to Denmark and try it. Please make an other Denmark shore fishing segment with new perch flys and techniques! So fun to watch!

Living on the Great Lakes, namely Lake Huron's Saginaw Bay, I have caught Perch on the fly in the shallows or creeks. I must admit that the Perch we have here are nowhere as large as the Perch you have caught in this video.

My personal best perch was 2lbs 3oz caught in a Cheshire mere many years ago; not on a fly but on a "Devon minnow" which was also deadly for trout. Some very nice and healthy looking fish there lads. Very good video.

I don't know if you have crappie were you're from if not you should come to the US and try it you would love plus they also are awesome to eat!

I have caught some beautiful perch in Boulder County Colorado USA. The perch are in the same small ponds I fish for bluegill, crappie and bass. These ponds are on the front range at an altitude of 5200 feet above sea level! There were Swedish immigrants in this area that homesteaded and farmed. I oftentimes wonder if the Swedes brought their perch with then in the 1800’s.

I am glad to see someone who knows how to handle and weigh fish properly. I watch these videos where people shove those scale hooks into fishes mouths. They handle and handle fish. They keep them out of the water several minutes for the camera. They kiss fish, they obviously don't know how delicate a fishes body is. The acid and salts from your body burns a fishes slime. That slime is a protective layer from fungus and organisms. A fish should be handled as little and short as possible before release. There are products out there that mend and replace there slime !
