Fly fishing on my float tube for brook trout and splake.

Спорт

This was part of a three day trip where I took my float tube to various lakes. This particular lake kicks out nice splake and brook trout. It was a fairly windy day and pretty challenging but I got into some nice fish. The fish were in the mood to eat damsel nymphs. Thanks for tagging along on adventure time.

Right now that area is still under several feet of snow. It a little over two months away until it will be accessible again 👍

Too bad about the stubborn beast that got you wrapped up. Fun lake on the tube, for sure.

I've certainly had some fun times at that lake. You eventually need to get you an atv or 4wd 😁

Love your vids as an Utah fisherman. I also love that you show flies and techniques. However, I am addicted to hook sets and indicators going under, and you almost NEVER show them! I’m sure it’s hard to keep the camera rolling for the whole thing, but I would bet you would really up the views if you showed the hooksets and the bobber downs :) 😅 don’t hate me for saying it!

Well, I'd like to get more takes on camera but it takes up too much memory and battery life to just leave it running. Plus it's a pain in the rear end to edit large video clips. I get what you're saying but it is what it is. I usually only get takes on camera when it's fast action.

The float tube isn't understood. Luckily, I have gotten to experience and appreciate the humble beginnings and later contenders; it essentially brraks down into value which over extended time has been the ......

Is this from February? or what time of year? Are you focused mostly on ice-off fishing in the spring, or where would be your favorite areas to hit in the spring?

This was from June of last year. I just never got around to making a video of the trip until now. I definitely try to take advantage of ice off in the Spring. I start wherever the ice comes off first

Sorry for the late reply. They are just synthetic sun gloves I got off of Amazon. They no longer make them unfortunately. I should of stocked up, I really like them. They are super light and more fish friendly when compared to gloves made out of organics.
