A tip on casting: what your hand does your rod tip and line will follow - experiment rotate etc and you will discover new casts.

Thanks fr the run-thru of your pack-rafting/fishing set up. Would appreciate knowing what you take for an overnighter aside from the pack-raft gear, how much it weighs and pack size please. I am retiring tomorrow and hope to follow in your footsteps!

Wow that's exciting!! I will show the overnight setup in a video to come. Ideally try to keep overnight weight (food, tent, clothes) 12-15kg. Packraft would be on top of that. Food is roughly 500g/day. Get a light pack the fancy ones are 1200g or less vs 2-3kg for heavier packs

Just back from an overnighter. Bag was 11kg all up incl net, wading pole, tripod etc. Only thing on top of that was my fishing waist bag (approx 1kg). It's ideal to have the weight down to this level 👍🏼

Its always the beer i pack that tips the scales for me, but when the fishing sucks its good to know I've packed enough plan B
