Spent a couple of hours in the morning fly fishing the Fall River right behind the lodge we were staying at in Estes Park, CO. #flyfishing #trout #colorado

This is my home county, I can attest that there are a lot of "bush trout" in Fall River.😊

I fish small mountain streams all time. It's good to see someone else hooking every limb of vegetation in the county for a change.

Nice river! Looks amazing. I could spent a day casting my #2 with small dries.

Have you cleaned and stretched your fly line, there appears to be kinks in the line adding extra slack in the line which hinders casting and hook setting. How long is your leader, in tight quarters, need both flyline and leader/tipit to transfer momentum to the fly. Have a fly shop take a look at your line/leader setup and make suggestions for small creeks vs large open areas that require lone casts.

Lee, I totally agree. The kinks in the line were driving me crazy. Also, not sure what length rod he is using but it looks too long for me, I would recommend a max of 6.5'. Using a shorter rod in tight spaces reduces snags & miss-casts (hopefully).
