  • @alecharveyfishingandflytying

    Paul, every day is different depending on how deep the fish are feeding, start by retrieving straight away then if no takes each cast let it sink 5 or 10 each cast until you find the fish depth, on the day of the video the count was 15, but obviously that changes in different locations 👍🎣🐟

    Hi again Alec Hope you are well. I have a question for you and Mr Peter Appleby. On the big waters you both use a sinking line with the Blob. What set up would you on small waters? I fish two lakes, one has an average depth of 10ft and the other from 5ft to 10ft. What would you suggest as a set up please? Thanks for you time. Tight lines. David

  • @alecharveyfishingandflytying

    @alecharveyfishingandflytying

    2 жыл бұрын

    Hi David, a good set up for your lakes would be to use a fast intermediate 1.5 inches per second sink rate, use the count down method to find what depth the fish are feeding, this can obviously near the surface down to near the bottom , tight lines 👍🎣🐟

  • @alecharveyfishingandflytying

    @alecharveyfishingandflytying

    3 жыл бұрын

    Peter said the longer leader 15 to 20 ft helps the fly move better as the fish approach the fly and this causes the resistance as they flash around it. First seen this when one day he was hanging his blob just under the boat and a few fish were swirling around it, this made the blob dance all over, this is when he realised what he was feeling at distance as the fish approach 🎣🐟
