@alecharveyfishingandflytying23 күн бұрын
Hi Roland , the fly is easy to tie and catches lots of trout , the tail is just a few mm long as I tie them on size 20 and 18 carp hooks . You can fish them casting to rising fish or drift them across the surface, and the fish will come up blind and take them . You can also slowly figure of eight them just subsurface and the fish will readily take them. Check my fishing videos using them, and you will see me using them and catching fish.👍🎣🐟

Hi Alec, I don’t usually leave comments on KZread channels but after today’s event I just had to post this. Today was one of the rare days so far this year on my local club water where dry fly fishing looked like it could be worthwhile. I started off with my usual go to fly which is a black top hat buzzer and I caught two on that in a couple of hours but had lots of short takes and snatches at the fly. On landing the second one I noticed the foam (top hat) had been caught in the netting and broken off so I sat down and had an early lunch! Then I looked for a new fly to tie on and next to my top hats I noticed some nothing flies that I had tied but not yet used so I tied one on. Wow. Instantly fussy feeders suddenly started smashing it. I had ginked it up lightly and in a short period of time I had completed my limit by catching and releasing a further 8. In that time I did not have to re gink the fly and it took fish that I had seen rising, also fished blind and finally when slowly figure of eighted back. I also missed quite a few. Can’t wait to try it again. Thanks for sharing the dressing and how to use it here. Regards John Powell

Thank you John for your great comments, I have had great feedback from people having success using the fly , here and many places abroad. Sounds like you had a cracking day , tight lines when your next out 🎣🐟
Great success today on my club water, brown trout reservoir fishing. Plenty moving, tried suspender buzzers, CDC not getting much attention then put on my freshly tied nothing flies and me and my buddy both took 8 each over rest of the session along with many more missed takes!! Brilliant fly. Had both plain and hot butt version both doing the damage

This month is when the NOTHING flies starts to fish really well, and it will continue to do so right up until the end of October, depending on the weather. Thank you for the update, and keep on catching 👍🎣🐟
