One question I want to confirm, how tall is the meter? And how thick? Tryna figure out if it’ll fit in my tool bag nice.

Blew up a screwdriver bc my Klein meter failed me due to a loose connection..after that I took all my kleins in to Home Depot and got new ones. And then I sold the new ones and bought an ideal meter and knipex tools. Will never buy Klein again.

What do you mean by loose connection?

@@electriciantv5174 where one of the lead connects in the actual meter. Apparently it wasn’t making good contact inside and it read no voltage when there was 120 on the wire.. I thought maybe it was just a one off thing but over time I’ve heard a few people complain about the same issue.

@@tfun101 Klein is proven to be one of the best. But no product is perfect on the market. Any product can fail you as such. I’ve used multiple brands of meters and they’ve all failed at some point or for some reason. Almost every companies leads and lead plugins could be better. No way I could say one is better than the other in that category.

This is why I always test on a known live circuit first. You never know what could happen my friend.

Which interface you like better for electrical work? I have a klein clamp meter since my apprenticeship days and idk if I should switch to a fluke or buy a klein clamp meter with true rms

Honestly for the price the Klein is really nice, and has a few really handy things that the fluke just doesn’t. But if you buy the right fluke meter they make ones with those features. I personally like the fluke because of the piece of mind of knowing it is very accurate. And for me and my meters the features are better because of the dc amps. So I think the fluke is better. But you really can’t go wrong with either one.
