you just have to make it stand out from the rest of the beat by having your melodies quieter. You also have to make sure your bass is on the right notes and that it isn't colliding with any low synth leads

well what i do.. is i start off with a main melody, and then i find other sounds and basically mess around with the sound while the main melody is playing. basically you just want to stay in key.

you put delay on it. there is a delay knob on nexus and you just adjust that until you have your desired amount of delay on it. or you can use fruity delay 2 and put it on the sound in the mixer. Either way
