gabe Last why lol? I am a veteran and I love the USA. I always root for the American. and I've met a lot of people rooting for McGregor that claim to buy American, be Patriots, etc. but when the time comes to support an American athlete on the world stage they go for the white Irish man instead... sure Floyd isn't a great person but he is representing our country. I know a lot of "heroes" from my service that did a lot worst then Floyd has done (not to say what he did was ok). when you really get down to the core of it, a lot of these people who would otherwise classify themselves as "Patriots" are for some reason not proud that the USA has produced one of the best boxers of our time. instead they cheer Conor and boo Floyd alongside the Canadians and the English. they want the white Irish to win over the black American.

McGregor is such a great example of a sports hero for our young and impressionable youth, right. He so humble, temperate, gracious in speech, respectful. Mayweather is just the same.
