I haven’t fought MMA but I’ve boxed professionally, enough to know that in the same weight class there is no way a woman beats a man in a striking based combat sport. Jiu-jítsu competition sure a woman could pull it off. If strikings allowed however no way. Everything from bone density and jaw structure just makes that whole idea idiotic. floyd is 38.. when ali and leonard were that age people were begging them to retire.. but we expect floyd to fight every newcomer on the scene as if he doesnt get old. .after beating pacquiao, there are no more legacy fights out there, he would be the favorite to win against any name in his division. .besides i dont understand how people can hate him so much but then be so preoccupied with who he fights, if hes boring and a coward you shouldnt be watching him anyway.

+MegaHobo Joe Holly Holm is a mixed martial artist. She used a lot of skills in that fight which boxers don't possess, including the takedown defence, grappling, clinch work, kicks. Don't think that just because a well rounded fighter with great stand up owned her, that a one dimensional midget boxer could stop himself from being taken down and submitted in seconds.

A lot of people hate this guy because he never lost, made more money than any other fighter and took less punishment than any other fighter. True his fights were boring to watch but the reality is that he made everyone that fought against him for the most part look ordinary no matter who it was. Juan Marquez gave Manny such a hard time but Mayweather after a long layoff made him look silly. I hear people say he fought Manny out of his prime. Last time I checked Mayweather is 2 years older than Manny so that shouldn't matter. This guy was just as much a business man as a fighter. Something that a lot of athletes need to understand to do so they can profit the most while they're still in the sport.

Actually most MMA vs boxe matches I've seen ended up exactly like that. Leg sweeps, calf kicks and TD the boxers don't even conceive as a possible threat. Floyd's only chance, since he's not an offensive fighter, is to hope Ronda closes the distance by brawling as she used to so he can counterpunch her.

I used to really love the UFC, I actually got into MMA when I was about 12 because I was watching old fights from the 90's or other classics like Forrest Griffin vs Stephan Bonnar or Diego Sanchez. Back then, it was an amazing, entertaining sport to me. However, in the recent years it just sort of went downhill for me. It simply isn't how it used to be. Nowhere near as entertaining. A lot of these fighters aren't that charismatic. And I'm really not an old-timer who's just getting nostalgic. I just turned 19. I've sort of lost interest in sports fighting now and got more into applicable stuff like Krav Maga or MCMAP. Good on Floyd for roasting her.

I'm not even a Mayweather fan, as a matter of fact, I can't stand him, but to say he would lose to or is afraid of that fraud Ronda, is a complete joke, it is entirely 2 different sport, boxing and UFC, if that fraud Ronda meets Mayweather in the boxing ring, he knock her out, and if he meets her in the octagon, you'll see nothing but holding and cheap take downs from her, it is what it is, use the rules to a competitor's advantage.

I honestly love both sports and I can give reasons for both, I think men love boxing more because you get to use your hands and its face to face the entire time, which I get and can respect at the same time, but I have followed the UFC or MMA much longer, and way before Miss Rousey came on the scene, I fell in love with the martial arts when I was just fourteen, and I discovered mixed martial arts the following year with Chris Horodecki and Bas Rutten and all of them, and the reason I love mixed martial arts is because you can learn different ways to take someone down and use all your body parts to defend yourself and numerous martial arts

Thats a straw man argument. How typical of a Mayweather fanboy to completely dodge someone's argument and bring up irrelevant information like some random MMA fighter or Mike Tyson to change the subject. The bottom line is you're defending a piece of shit woman beater, and his skin color is probably a big motivating factor for that. "She needs to focus on Cyborg." No, since she is the champion Cyborg should be focusing on her. Its Cyborg's responsibility to cut weight and do what she needs to do earn a championship fight against Rhonda. Rhonda hasn't made any impossible demands for her to meet, unlike Mayweather and all the demands he makes of his opponents. In no way is she "dodging" Cyborg, and as a Mayweather fanboy you have no leg to stand on when it comes to that subject.

We will never know. We will never see that fight (Rousey vs Mayweather). I can assure you with 110% Jose Aldo demoralizes The Money Man in a MMA fight in less than 1 minute. Boxers transitioning to MMA haven't done zilch and never will.
