    This is absolutely mesmerising to watch form on the blank paper.This makes me think of orchids growing high in the tops of the trees where they show their beauty off in the sunlight .I love this one too.I think the background is stunning in itself with the blues and greens and the way the white splashes turned into the glowing light. It’s a fabulous idea .I never really liked abstract work much until I came across yours .I think it’s because you explained what your doing and why .I now have a greater understanding of the mystery of abstract.I cannot understand it all but yours makes sense.🥰

    A wonderful lady artist I know moves pigment over paper. She doesn't paint anything in particular, yet her work always looks like something. She has a saying, "it's something and nothing really". I think that saying sums up your paintings nicely. It's down to the viewers to decide what they find before their eyes. And that's the main reason I keep coming back for more. With some artists you know more or less what we're going to get, as that sits well within their specialized areas, whether it's rough seas, or flowering meadows. But when artists like you come along, their are always surprises to be discovered. That's why I've been subbed up for several months now. I love what you do.

    Maybe it will be fun for you to know that there is a British watercolorist, twice your age, well-known author and teacher...Jean Haines...who, when it comes to painting flowers in particular, paints as if she's been benefitting from lessons with you! 🙂

    I love your paintings. Are they always intuitively painted or do you usually have a plan?

  • @debralynrosenbachart

    @debralynrosenbachart

    I don’t usually go into the studio with a plan, I just following the pigment and water and let it take me on the journey, now sometimes I’ll buy flowers and paint them…but it’s rare, as I like working intuitively most.

    Question Debra from one of your biggest fans , dr ph Martin I bought me a jar on eBay and i expected it to be liquid mine is pasty like is that the way it suppose to be or is mine old ? Xoxo

    Yes, it’s very thick. You brush has to be very wet and then after the product is on the tip dip it into the water again. Also make sure you shake it too…once you get a little water it from your brush it loosens up more.
