Went to gig at The Tunnel Club Glasgow, quite a few of us ended up on the stage with the band jumping about, one of the best gigs I’ve been to, brilliant ❤

ive just watched us at psv we all look so young. its nice seeing people putting up stuff from back on the day.. yes its sad i lost a very good friend in liam. he's always in my tboughts. god rest his soul. love n hugs to the real fans that made it special for us on the road. many a happy memory. john 2 beats tuvey.

It's great to know that you appreciate the stuff on KZread, so many musicians disapprove. I bought ' It's On ' the day it came out, but haven't listened to Flowered Up for years. Hearing ' Dark Side Of The Spoon ' is a bit too emotional.

We thought we were gonna change the world, and we did. ♥️♥️ No-one can take those times from us ♥️♥️ You know when you want to say something perfect about how you feel about a band but can't get the words right because of a tear in my eye and a big smile on my face! @@4th_Lensman_of_the_apocalypse I was at Clapham common when Joe overdosed on Ketamine. I missed seeing most of the bands trying to look after the little twat. He eventually got karted off to hospital in a wheelchair. Then the Monday's bouncers dragged me across the field and threw me out on the street because I stepped over the white family and friends line on stage. Sunshine was there selling E's and off his tits so didn't see him much that day. Cool to know you did some photography work with them. Don't even get started on FC20, another thing Joe royaly f**ked up. Peace to ya.

First heard fu on mark goodier radio 1 evening session when i taped their live show at marquee venue in 1990 i think it was.

Saw these 3 times. Best gig was Dudley JB's, early summer 1991 IIRC. Club was packed and they didn't come on till late. The venue was so hot even before they came on. My clothes were drenched and sopping with sweat and booze. The lads played a blinder and the girl from Bocca Juniors was there to sing Egg Rush. Thanks lads and lass. That's one i'll never ever forget.

Hahaha I just read my own comment and I was like "Oh man, me too". I'm trying to find a version of "Take It" on here which was remixed by (from memory) Danny Rampling? I have it on vinyl somewhere, so I'll put it on here myself if it isn't.

The version of Take It is from the original single so much better than the one on the album 👍🏻

The version of Crackerjack is the one that the band re-recorded with Clive Langer👍🏻

Saw them in Boscombe blew me away. Loved them as soon as I heard them. Great memories of blasting out A Life With Brian in my Afasud whilst ragging it up to the Midlands to watch Cov play ably assisted by my nut job mates. The soundtrack to some top days. God bless ya lads

I loved them. The album came out here in America, but I don’t think they ever played here. I was in L.A. and saw everyone.

It's pretty freakin' rare. The release isn't even on discogs.com! It is from a promo version of 'Weekender' that was never released. If I remember correctly, Tim Dorney gave a copy of it to a blogger to share with fans a few years ago. It also had a track called 'Enough's Enough', I think. I'm fairly certain that it's the only place I've seen either of those tracks, so it's a true find. I'll see if I can find the blog listing in the next few days so you can thank the source on that one.

'Open Me Up'. It is from the songs that never quite coalesced into a second album. I'm pretty sure I acquired it back in the MySpace days. The band became difficult to track down, but songs would tumble into odd places. Kind of had to be looking for them and be lucky enough to nab them when they'd magically (and temporarily) appear. Also, it should be noted that it was not released under the name Flowered Up. The Maher's and co. had rebranded themselves as Greedy Soul.

@@RandJohnsongreedy soul was Liam, Tim, Georgie D, Johnny M from republica with Tim and Shovell on percusion. I photographed them in rehearsal at the depot and a gig or two at Notting hill Arts Club

Everything's so plastic fantastic now. Where's the real music gone. It's all gone middle class and stale.
