Y'know, I never heard of this band before Jason Newsted joined Metallica. They are quite good. I'm also glad Jason managed to re-establish himself.

Super cool Update, many thanks!! I believe they did the cover forkboy of Lard as reminiscence to Jason‘s brother Jeff who played drums in Lard and had died a couple of years earlier.

I always loved their first 3 albums, but after ‘Storm’ I kind of lost track of them & tbh, it was because I was more on a DM path back then! Since those days tho I’ve gone back & rediscovered most of their releases after ‘Storm’ & I enjoy them all! I’ve still not heard their last 3 releases tho… I keep waiting for them to come down in price… but they never do, lol! ‘No place’ will always be No.1 for me! Good to see you Darcy!🤘🏻

I saw them live twice in 1999 at The Mason Jar in Phoenix because I only lived 10 blocks away and was working 2'nd shift at Motorola. I knew of them 10 years prior from the No Place For Disgrace album that a friend dubbed a cassette for me while I was in the 8'th grade ten. When I hear Never To Reveal on Z rock 4 years later I was thoroughly impressed by this band and purchase the cassette tape. I also bought the next album in 1995

Love Flotsam AND jetsam I think Unnatural Selection is highly underrated. Doomsday for the Deceiver ranks up there with the BEST of them...The Cold is a brilliant album . And than you have Cuatro which GAVE them some recognition. Well deserved..😎

Flots was always a great, underrated band! I was listening to Cuatro earlier this morning! Secret Square, Cradle Me Now, The Message, Wading Through the Darkness, etc. Awesome album!!! When The Storm Comes Down was SUPURB, as was their Sophmore release No Place For Disgrace. I heard High and Drift. Both are very great albums! I haven't kept up with the band too much as of late, but i will get back into them one day soon. Thanks for sharing your video and your rated Flots albums! FLOTS TIL DEATH!

Nice... I hope you do the Saxon ranking again. Solid Ball of Rock deserves to be a LOT higher up in the list IMO!. And Carpe Diem is awesome. ofcourse.

Good to hear your thoughts on these Darcy. The end of chaos is such a great album imo so I probably should get around to picking up blood in the water. The top two a classics for sure. For an update ranking what about UDO or Maiden. 🤘

Brilliant updated ranking! Thank you. I still would rank "The End Of Chaos" two steps (minimum) above "Blood In The Water" just because of the production of the latter one that I can´t stand. But hey, that´s why we are music fans! Everyone hears music a little different and that´s totally ok if not even necessary. There´s enough fighting going on in every day life, we don´t have to fight over musical taste, do we? "Drift" is the only album that has not been released on vinyl at any point. This great record definetely needs a well done release on black wax! Reissues of "Cuatro" and "High" would be very cool as well because I´m not willing to pay what people ask for nowadays. As Metal Marty Mac said, "Forkboy" is a Lard cover, a project from the Ministry guys with Jello Biafra from Dead Kennedys singing.

Ive loved Cuatro since the day it came out

People us the term underrated too loosely. F N J is the most underrated band. Thanks for this.

One of my all time favorite bands. I have been listening to these guys from day one. I actually got to play guitar with them for a little bit back in 1988. They use to play at a little club in phoenix, AZ called "The Mason Jar".

I finally got a copy of drift..hard to find in new Zealand🇳🇿..I have to say the song empty air is probably one of the most catchy songs iv ever heard..the riff is to die 4..cheers

This has always been one of the bands that I let slip by. I had meant to purchase "Doomsday for the Deceiver" when it came out but never got around to it. Then Jason left, then I heard the Elton John cover and then I decided to move along. And then they just kept getting pushed to the backburner. I guess I should rectify that.

N.E. Terror is my All Time favorite Flots song! I don't know why everybody dislikes Dreams of Death so much as for me, that's when they ditched the groove metal influences of My God and Unnatural Selection, and went back to basics. I think if DoD had been released back in '89 instead of When the Storm comes Down, The band could have a lot more famous.

@@seanbelcher4486 It’s just ok, tough to replicate that original thrashterpiece. Electra Records are usually pricks about bands trying to retain the rights back to their music, they make it unaffordable! So they had to take this route instead.

What hurts this band most for me is the prices. I don't know if they've no distribution over here or what but it's way overpriced and loads of the catalogue is unavailable.

One of the problems is these guys have been on 6 different labels over the years , your absolutely right distribution hasn’t been great for a few of their releases ! Im just happy you like Blood In The Water , some great stuff on that album ! Have a great weekend Mike & Andrew 🤘
